For people with iPhones buy the 50$ lighting to hdmi adapter, plug it in follow his steps exactly but on the page where he turns on / off the vdds error if you then turn snapshot on (same page) it will save it so you don’t have to re-do after every start up (2015 civic)

Thanks man! By turning off the "VSP ERROR" I can now use my phone while driving. The only downside is that you have to turn off VSP error every time you start the car.

How were you able to mirror with no WIFI connection. I am able to on the same network but without, my fire tv stick is undiscoverable on my phone

if I want to use maps and listen to music at the same time will this work? Also I have a iphone that isn't activated in addition to my android would it be better to just use a mobile hotspot on my android and use my iphone with the Hdmi cables? I heard that you can't listen to music at the same time though unless it's on the iPod itself so no spotify etc?

I have a 2015 Honda crv, I tried all the step, when I put in drive the screen is there but as soon as the car move the screen trun black. Can you help? BTW, I using a Samsung note 10.

Hey, my maps look smaller on the screen with portrait orientation off. yours is like full screen. I’m using Google maps on iPhone. Any idea why?

How can you get the screen mirroring to work with the touchscreen on the dash? Will it pick up touches? Swipe left, tap, swipe right? On the in dash screen? If so, cool. But Chromecast over wifi doesn't work this way. Maybe I need a Roku, or figure out how to use screen mirroring with my Chromecast, so i don't need wifi.

Any luck with Si w/ Nav? I turned off the Map DD also, but once the car is in motion it turns back to the HDMI screen.

It is a Roku streaming stick and it connects using a technology called WiFi direct this makes a direct connection from phone to Roku using a wireless signal

+mastermachetier ahh okay. and is that a feature limited to the roku or can I also use the 2015 Chromecast? also. when you're casting your screen, does the 7" display work when you touch it? right now I have an MHL cable to mirror my screen into my 2014 ex, but I have to use my phone to do anything, becsuse it seems like the touch screen functionality is lost from the head unit

+Mark Barski Chromecast needs Internet connection to work, but there are other devices side from Roku like the amazon fire TV stick which actually now that I think of it is what I am using. Touch screen does not work.

Is there a way to lock the screen orientation on the vehicle touch screen? It keeps going vertical, while you were driving..

There is an app called tasker that allows you to setup profiles for whatever you want to do on your phone. You could set a profile when it is connected to the cars bluetooth to force the screen into landscape and lock the orientation. Then once it disconnects go back the way it was. play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.dinglisch.android.taskerm&hl=en

I have tried a couple of options on my touring and get only 1/2 of the car display screen to show up. I haven't tried the Roku or Fire stick

when I plugged in my roku streaming stick only half the screen showed up on my si...then it went all black...any idea on what happened? I have the amazon fire stick also but I tried screen mirroring my Samsung Galaxy s6 just at home to see if it works there but it didn't just said connecting...any ideas on what's happening?

+jeeves0818 So I have no idea about the roku, but with amazon fire tv stick you need to go into the menu and turn on mirroring. I can post a video on it this weekend if you are still having issues.

Need to use LG mirror drive ver 1.2.1.2 the new version will not work on samsung. You can use apk to install older version. Don't forget to turn off updates.

It's a direct link between the wifi interface of the phone and roku there is no in between

+Naveen Gupta So i got it to mirror iphone using a 3rd party app for the screen mirror. I tried it back at home I'll put a video up when I am back right now I am traveling out of state for a while without my car and the app is on my fiances phone .

+O. Diaz You can have the chromecast go through there , but it requires wifi in order to do screen mirroring so you won't be able to do it on the road unless you have wifi somehow.

It should work with a hotspot, but easiest way is to just buy something that doesn't require wifi to mirror like the fire tv stick.

lead poisoning buy a H96pro-H3 Mini TV Stick. Is awesome, you can use the screen as android phone, play movie, use netflix, youtube, maps, etc. Obviously you should share you internet for see apps how need network. But you can download to the stick all the things you want to see. Apps, videos, movies, music etc and can see it offline. I have a Honda civic 2015 EXL and I'm enjoying a lot this stick

+KyleMCSG you might have to turn off bluetooth. I had to mess with the settings a bit to get sound. Also i found that if i do this after the car is moving sound comes out wierd so typically I do this before i start moving.

So i have found you can , but the audio can actually also come through the hdmi . What i do is set bluetooth for call only and have media come through hdmi. When i get a call it still rings through the bluetooth system
