I don't know why the "hot as shit" part was so funny to me. But it was. I played it back 3 times. But I appreciate your videos. I had equipment 12 years ago, and got rid of it because it was my ex-Husband that figured out all the idiosyncrasies of printing. I was easily frustrated by it. Now information is way more readily available.

Sorry if this has been addressed in previous videos but I am super new to the screen printing game. I was wondering how do you know where to put your logo on the screen, (before burning) so that it puts the logo on the shirt the correct distance down from the neck or for a corner logo (chest pocket area) ? Or do you just place the shirt down and move it on the pallet accordingly to print wherever the logo needs placement? Thank you in advance.

One stroke is in my opinion the best super low cure ink, if you have a small dryer one stroke is the way to go, it's really expensive, but if you're running an auto with a small dryer, it's the way to go.

Hey Cam, awesome videos. I am learning a lot to start my home business. I saw on your Amazon shop there is a waterproof film roll, what exactly is that used for?? Also, I don't have a flash dryer but I do have a heat press, can I use my heat press to cure a shirt?
@jesselejarzar5114
@jesselejarzar5114 4 жыл бұрын
You use water proof film because the non water film has certain problems in 2005 I tried regular non water proof and it wasn't consistent, so it had a tendency to expand when printed halftone dots were bigger, but lines overlapped. The chemical composition of waterproof film keeps that from happening. Flash units don't come into contact with the shirt like a heat press, so you use a heat press, you need contact paper, it will look nice if you keep it from looking shiney, but real screen printers won't use it because it takes forever and a lot of things can and could go wrong from the press to the heat press. We used them when we had problems with fibers sticking up looking rough and needing to be smoothed, but you need to have paper that gave the print a matte like finish
@ThePrintLife
@ThePrintLife 4 жыл бұрын
I have never tried that, but I have heard people do it. The water proof film is for making transparencies with your inkjet printer.
@jasonpetrillo216
@jasonpetrillo216 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks guys. ok that makes total sense about the roll. I used the heat press the other night to make my first shirt. The shirt came out ok, a bit of ink getting all over the place, and somehow I missed a pin hole even though I went over the screen 4 different times. lol I think I did too many passes with the white, and my image came out not as crisp as it was the first pass. Although that could also be from the crappy 1 station press I have. But, I hit it with the heat gun and it look good for shirt # 1. Then I used the heat press...bad idea. Think I needed to wait longer for the in to cure more, but some stuck to the Teflon sheet. All this is a big learning curve, but a very fun one. It felt really satisfying after making my first pass with the white. So more to come. Fun stuff I think.

Hey Cam, if you were starting off would you go with Anatol or M&R? The Trilock system looks like its very helpful for beginners.... Is Anatol cheaper to get started with then M&R? Thanks in Advance. -Freddy
@jesselejarzar5114
@jesselejarzar5114 4 жыл бұрын
Anatol makes great manuals and autos, their service needs some catching up, mr is a US industry major player their manuals and autos are over priced but service is the best. If I had to buy a manual, Anatol would be up there, auto my money money would go to MR, but before MR I would buy workhorse sabre, the price is good and the service isn't as bad as Anatol, the user interface is awesome their only problem is the cheap tablet running windows. I hope they got a better tablet but if they don't take out as much unneeded software as possible to keep it from glitching. MR software suck but it's dependable and everything is built to last. Always maintenance manuals and autos, well everything really.
