Thanks for this video. It’s exactly what I was looking for to learn how to line up the registration marks. Now I want to buy a press with the micro-adjustment knobs. Just seems like an easier time. Thanks.

I am glad it helped! thank you for watching! A press with micro registration will be game changer. Highly recommend getting a press with micro registration knobs even if it is your first press, it will make your life 1000 times easier.

BTW - thanks for the great tip on placing the quarter on the Bottom Edge of screen to maintain off contact when using good pressure - priceless! The Riley 250 leaves a lot to be desired as far as ease of adjustment. I couldn't go with the better 300 series in my particular space - should have opened up the wall to get it in!

Oh yeah glad you liked that! That quarter trick saved me a punch in my early years of screen printing. It’s a easy fix for off contact. The 250 is a great press but doesn’t have everything you need so I hear you on that! But hey keep investing in the business and you’ll have more🙏🏽

Hey man! Great work and some really cool informations. May I ask if you dilute your ink with something ? When you cover your design the ink seems to be very smooth and easy to apply. I used : Union Maxopake Bright Cotton White and I'm having hard time to deal with it. Cheers man

You seem to have really great luck with your emulsion washing out. Can I ask what kind do you use?
@baavproductions
@baavproductions 3 жыл бұрын
It definitely has been consistent and sharp lately but I do always have issues with emulsion clogging up in the open areas of the screen but that issue was solved with rinsing the screen more and air compressor. I use Ryonets Cryocoat emulsion by green glaaxy and it worked like a charm when I first got it and I have been using it ever since.

Do you have any issues with the first layer of white not being completely solid ? Maybe a faded look? Thank you for the video!!!
@baavproductions
@baavproductions 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that is completely normal. The first print of white won't be solid or fully bright and will look faded. Once the second print goes on is when it feels solid and looks white.

Great video! Why are u using the flash dryer and then conveyor?
@scotlandskysurf8948
@scotlandskysurf8948 6 ай бұрын
Sometimes when I’m done a print round and the ink is still wet I’ll do a quick flash to ensure I don’t get ink on the shirt accidentally. There also might be an argument that if your platen is really sticky and you peel the shirt off it might stretch it to cause the ink crack or break apart a bit despite curing it in place in the conveyor afterwards.
@baavproductions
@baavproductions 6 ай бұрын
Flash dryer is to quickly dry the print and add second layer or second color. The conveyor is for final cure of the print
