Serpentine belt (Drive belt) replacement. Removing and replacing the alternator and water pump belts on a 2003 to 2010 Nissan Micra K12 1.0 petrol engine (without air conditioning). If you don’t have access to a spring balance tool, you can measure the belt tension by exerting thumb pressure on the belt and measuring the deflection. However, err on the side of caution as a loose belt can easily be tightened but an over-tightened belt may damage the alternator or water pump bearings.
