Epidemiologist Tarik Benmarhnia has a joint appointment at UC San Diego and Scripps Institution of Oceanography. "Most of my work is dedicated to understanding the relationship between climate change and population health, with a focus on vulnerable populations. I try to understand to what extent air pollution, heat waves, and some vector-borne diseases affect population health, to what extent some specific populations and communities are more affected, and what we can do in terms of policies to address that." #Epidemiology #ClimateChange #PopulationHealth #Scientist
