Gotta love a pop song with the word “hermeneutic” in it. ❤️

Just listening to Gartside explaining his meaning behind the song THE WORD GIRL, give’s you all the insight one needs, as to why He takes 9 years or more to make an album & write songs….he one of the most prolific song writers ever, who happens to blessed with one of the sweetest & rarest vocal chords in music….

The video for "Lover to Fall" is hilarious, intentionally or not! This incarnation, with Gamson and Maher was the best ever. I wish these 3 were still working together.....

Greeny was so entrancingly beautiful, (speaking past tense, as this is memory land to me), and, in such an unusual, interesting way in his face - almost like he's an elf or something - I mean, such an enchanting quality. He's very pale here, and that looks really good, as it adds to his ethereality. I wonder if he's had a bells palsy, or something, as one side of his mouth looks a bit pulled up, as if spasm-affected - not meaning that in a bad way - I have a rather Gothic appreciation for beauty, I feel perfection is overrated. Beautiful elegant speaking voice he has, too. It was really fun music! I adored Cupid and Psyche, wore out my tape. Thanks for posting.

The way that Green speaks so articulately reminds me of Robert Plant

"I've found a new hermeneutic. I've found a new paradigm." They don't write them like that anymore! And they didn't then, either. Only Green!

Amazing you say that. That line was what made me appreciate them in the first place.

Love S.P., but this interview feels like they're interviewing a clutch of newborn owls.

1987?
@jweborg8 жыл бұрын
Yes this was broadcast in early 1987 - could have possibly been filmed then or 1986.
@SoulStylistJukeBox8 жыл бұрын
+jweborg Is this from American TV? By '87 this song was at least two years old so I'll guess they were still promoting the Cupid and Psyche album in the States during late '86/early '87.

+SoulStylistJukeBox it's from Australian TV but is not from an Australian program - I assumed it was from a European program but can't be sure.

+jweborg Please forgive but are you sure about the time?

+Sweetness Ofthemists it was broadcast in 1987 on Australian tv however I would think it was recorded earlier.

Embarrassing to admit I was classically trained??? What's wrong with him??? :-D :-D

I think it's more embarrassing to be wearing such a jersey rather than to admit being classically trained as a musician.
