Will this work for spinning reels and bait casters?

mine is not set up for that but they do make an attachment for this that will work with spinning reels. this will work with baitcasters, even low profile. I have since switched to diawa saltist levelwinds and diawa lexa 300 baitcasters. Love the spooler still and love the new reels

@@netdreamsfishing7529 I see thanks for your reply I have a Shimano curado DC bait caster reel and a Shimano Stella spinning reel I use. Any idea on what type of spooling machine would work well on those? I’d be willing to spend a bit but I’d want to make sure it would work well with my primary gear.

Give SCT a call tomorrow. I know they make a spinning setup for these. i believe the reel gets mounted on a hub where the crank assembly would be horizontally. @@tommyp8989

Is this the mag brake spooler ?

It does have brake pads on both top and bottom of the line holder. Its essentially 2 bolts that are turned in or out for tension. I use the brakes to spool the line tight on the reels
