NBA players as a whole aren't built like that. Maybe years down the line ifmit happened when it will become normalized. But not now, as the majority of them never grew up expecting to actually get in a fight in the NBA. hockey players know it's part of the sport, so they develop that aspect and expect it's high possibility of it happening.

KD was trying to avoid contact and his foot/shoe went sideways and the shoe didn't slide but grabbed the floor which put him off balance. He lost balance then Williams bumped him which is why he fell. Then williams deliberately stood over him which is a punk move. Good for Nurkic pushing him away.
