Excellent video and very easy to learn this technique. However, I was not able to see any of the pattern samples. I wish you were able to zoom in closer to the samples or hold them up closer to the camera.

It would have been nice to see the patterns in more detail - don't they know about zooming?

I know everyone is a critic for the camera work, but this setup really does have an excellent establishing shot. I know how difficult it is to manage just ONE camera when doing creative stuff. So, I have a thought for future content that may be of some use to you and your audience. When you are done with all of the crafting, take some still photographs of each finished item and put them up in the video to capture all the pretty stuff you are making. Even a cell phone on hand could capture enough resolution to see all the pretty mica powders and patterns that are coming out. Otherwise this is a very informative video and worth the watch!

Great tutorial and very helpful! Unfortunately it was really hard to see what you were doing because it was so small. I wish that it would’ve been more up close

Thank you for the tutorial Sculpey but you need to improve the photography technique. It’s important when doing a demonstration or tutorial that you include close ups and different angles to help your students understand the technique and the finished product.

This is exactly what i have been looking for. I see you have a book, would it answer all my questions (clay, tools and so on) or can you tell me all about every item shown in this video?

I learned a lot from thus video! I was making thus harder than it needed ti be lol😂so thank you! However, I agree with others, the camera was too far away and even zooming in wasn’t enough to see details.

It is the first time that I work with this brand of polymeric clay, I like it because it is softer than the other brands, but I have had problems when baking, I have set the oven to the indicated temperature and I have done tests with different temperatures, and they are all too fragile and I can break it with my fingers easily, I want to know what I am doing wrong or what the problem would be

Are you using Sculpey Premo, Sculpey Souffle, or Sculpey III? If it's Sculpey III, it's not really suitable for jewellery use. Jewellery tends to be thin, and Sculpey III is brittle when thin. Premo and Souffle shouldn't be brittle after baking properly.

My necklace was made by Mily Angulo of Lima Peru. She is a fabulous artist, I don’t know if she sells online but I got to visit her in her home country in 2019.

I really appreciate the time and effort put into this tutorial, but I couldn't even see what the patterns looked like... It was just way too far away which is such a bummer because I am sure it is beautiful.. 😔

I am getting more and more disappointed with Sculpey for many reasons, but in this case, you would think a big business like this one would use a better camera, so we can see the detail. All I saw were colors with no patterns. I have to take her word for it that it was beautiful. My Samsung phone, which I've had for quite a few years, has better-quality video than this. If you can't do better quality video, then do it closer. I'm off to find a better video from a person doing it from their HOME to show exactly what it should look like. The woman is awesome, I love her instruction, this video quality does her an injustice. I even went into the settings to increase the resolution, thinking maybe it was due to my internet, but nope, 480 is the best they can do.
