I love that you referenced Ninja Scroll when talking about that part of the lip. That was a hallmark style of a lot of anime that's almost gone now. Those characters always felt so dimensional. Thanks for the tutorial!

Gosh! There is a lot more involved in this than I could have ever imagined. I had heard about anatomy in art but I had no idea how much was considered in sculpting a bust, those speed builds, which I really enjoy and am amazed by, make it look so simple. Oh and thanks for putting 'Let's Get Physical' in my head, which I can't get rid of now :D

@crazyjay63315 жыл бұрын
@@uncleshome3315 if you wanna be specific 'veterans' is short for 'military veteran' as you can be a veteran in many occupations or fields, so referring to someone as a veteran is technically a shortened term. :)

This is a very well made video, I like how you sculpt the piece, and casually comment/explain things, and drop some lines here and there that are sort of a bit humorous. It is also a cool thing that you record voice over the silent footage instead of filming video and audio together. These 50 minutes are much easier to watch than a good lot of the 10-minute videos out there. And I like the sculpture itself of course, it is the reason I clicked on your video in the first place.

Whats the difference between monster clay and polymer clay?
@AndyTanguay2 жыл бұрын
@@rainbow_2225 Monster Clay is more of a wax-based clay. Not too sure what polymer clays are made out of TBH
@rainbow_22252 жыл бұрын
@@AndyTanguay Thank you, is monster clay the same as modelling clay? Im trying to figure out what clay animators use for marquettes, they looks similar
@AndyTanguay2 жыл бұрын
@@rainbow_2225 it’s definitely a modeling clay. It all depends on what you like and feel comfortable with. If you’re talking about stop motion animation, I think a lot of those in modern stop motion like at Laika are some kind of foam over an armature. And if you’re talking about concept sculptures for animation, once again, that can be whatever feels right to you. I know Pixar had some artists that used Sculpey. At least years ago.
