Here's a timelapse video of sculpting stylized character Momo Yaoyorozu from My Hero Academia. In this video I'm learning about sculpting anime character which I just got into recently. It's really fun learning new stuff. I hope you guys can enjoy and maybe learn something trough this videos. Reference images used found in Google and Artstation is for educational purposes only. If you have any feedback please just let me know. That's about it. Take it easy guys!

I made a stylized character sculpting sketch of Momo Yaoyorozu from Boku No Hero Academia. It's a sculpt I did in my free time. Just a small relaxing project in-between work. I really love the show and can't help but make fan art about it. Everything is sculpted in Blender, polypaint done in Zbrush, rendered in Cycles, final images composited in Photoshop.

Really loved how you sketched out the plane changes clearly before softening them out . I’ll definitely try that in my future sculpts Amazing work man!

I would like to add more pink glow and glitter, where she pulls objects from, but otherwise... Everything is wonderful ✨o✨ It only seems to be the right way to read Yaoi Rosa🤣

I would suggest you check out Flippednormals or Cg Cookie website. They have lots of resources on digital sculpting.

Thanks, I think make sure that every folds has reason to be there. Don't put any folds that defying the rule of physics.

I created the body basemesh and also rigged it as well, It's just a rigify. Enough for creating basic pose.

I don't really know, even tho I worked in the collectibles industry but I only do the digital sculpting data, I'm not responsible for making it ready print.

Thanks. The skin tone was from some of the screenshots from the anime. Also from color pick template that I made myself over the years.

Wow another amazing sculpt, but I wanna ask is there a reason you used the vertex painter for the eyes instead of the way you've been doing in your other videos?

Thanks man! A lot of anime figure has the eyes painted instead of using actual 3d form. I'm trying to replicate that look here. Idk, it's a new way to do stuff. It's fun.

well because in real world we are not beatifull. I mean not all of us. if you keep putting only beatfl handsome characters in games people might think like "whats wrong with me" why Im ugly.

mas itu kepala di awal dari Zbrush ya? bisa gk ya klo ga punya Zbrush tpi import model itu langsung ke blender? biar bisa motong waktu dari pada sculpt base kepalanya dri awal

Iya, itu headplane dari Zbrush. Bisa mungkin bisa minta export temen yang punya Zbrush atau mungkin ada yang upload online.

It's a Zbrush headplane. I'm not sure if I can share it since it was exported from Zbrush library.

No.. It's composed from a lot of sessions. I only worked on it in my free time.

how did you use the rig to pose the mesh and them remove the rig ??

goto the modifiers..............click the drop down arrow then click on apply/save as shape key(after creating a base shape key)

You can apply the rig trough the modifier menu.

I'm not a rigger lol, I don't really do rigging except if I need to pose something I'll use Blender's rigify as a basic rig > pose > apply the rig > and then fix the broken deformation.

As for Zbrush is a paid software. But Blender alone can do a lot. I mean a lot.
