To be fair the game is not finished. Like any multiplayer server on any game, admins are constantly fighting Cheaters.

so i totally get why other people want optional raid protection.... and yeah i get it's a popular idea. but i always saw it as if your playing on an online server, kinda expect to get raided.... i always got that people had rules about it, and thats always down to the individual server.... but i always saw it as part of the risk :) but great video again brother!

While I agree it should always be a risk, offline raiding sucks very much. Hopefully this’ll be a step in the right direction to finding a happy medium there

Sounds all good and dandy until the whole team your raiding is like welp they are almost in let's all log out raid protection active raid over. But then again. First trial of new feature. I'm sure it will have some tweaking as it progresses. Going to be interesting!

It's nice that this Offline protection could possibly remove the issue of people waiting for others to go offline to go raid them. And we know there are squads that will be online almost 24/7. Flag specific is kinda bs, I don't see that working. Also, they nerfed the dial locks even more, by reducing the fame penalty, maybe this is to balance it?

Sure is going to be interesting seeing servers with "flag" specific. Maybe more suited for pve maybe. We'll see. However, the options are there for any setting. Future mods and new maps will make this interesting.

How does the offline protection work exactly? My players are informing me they can still overtake flags when nobody is online (low pop server atm). How does it stop people from raiding

You can turn it all off If you don't want it. But its to stop alt accounts and players exploiting.

Offline raid protection is trash. A player can hold cash, log out with loot, and now there's raid protection. Not to mention lockpicking is rough. I play with 8 people and none of them can effectively pick gold locks. Dev's should just make player bases invulnerable lol.

Wonder how scum where intended to be when they first startet, since 0.7 it have felt like discord complaning have had to big impact in the dev of the game. All to often they choose the easy solution instead of doing it rigth. Example: Parachute into bases where solved by tieing our hands instead of giving us turrets.. Base protection will be exploited by having a 2nd accunt in a wooden base and loot stored there.

the people these features are for are the very people that ruined Scum and should have been told to screw off "Safety Basing" lol "the shame of gaming" The Devs well n truely sold out I bet money people still cry n complain about base raiding even with these features 🤏😁👎

Just for clarity: A lot of folk think the Devs sold out by Adding DLC and Character DLC etc I feel they sold out by adding traders and making traders a core part of the game that cannot be undone or reversed and also adding safety basing. tbh adding traders that cant be undone is worse than safey basing but both are not good and some what kill the "Hardcore" the good news is you can opt into safety basing or not but you cant opt outta traders. overall I understand the devs want to reach out and apease as many people/players as they can and the numbers of safey basers must be huge ortherwise the devs would not accommodate them by adding this highly requested feature which il leave here.
