Ecto is a beast and everyone that has one knows they have a mysterious self righting system when they fall. Ecto is just one if not the best rtr out of the box since the Capra. Ecto performance is really 50% tire choice. Hate saying that but it's ridiculously true. It's just an amazing truck. Getting a second. Thanks for your videos Joe!

I myself would have to say ecto is the winner. The scx10 pro was purpose built to crawl and the ecto can do a lot as an rtr. Ecto is not necessarily purpose built or is he lol. I'm interested in seeing your original red comp truck go against the pro. I just have to see.

i thank the ecto took it too, if you put the fusion pro 2300 on the ecto, it would beat the tar out of the axial pro, sorry, i love axial but be fair, the fusion pro is the bomb!!!!!!!!!

Joe, I have 2oz of weight in each front Gmade 1904s and I couldn't be happier with how planted this truck is. Clearly, axle weight is better...but as you've said, it's hard to come by. Love the head to head competitions!

Ecto won gatekeeper. It got the hook and climbed it. Pro took a bit of a cheater line. and I think pro did cliffhanger quicker because even the second attempt with the ecto was close to a one shot so you were slower to back up and readjust. But overall, very different trucks and excited to see the old ecto hang with the comp oriented pro.

Love my Ecto, and love your comparisons. Some up front weight on the pro might change a few things. Thought the Ecto looked a little smoother, but both great rigs!! Thanks Joe!!!

Just recently purchased an ecto, and excited to see that it can compete with the scx10 pro.

As already mentioned put 25% gears in the ECTO. Game changer

I would have to give it to the Ecto based on the how the vehicles drove. I wouldn’t put as much stock into the times even though it is a measurable point. With these two as well I’d take the Ecto into battle at a comp over the Pro. Maybe once there’s some brass on the front of the Pro it’ll start to pull ahead.

If one truck goes somewhere, another truck just can’t go that should count worth more than one point. I gave the overall to the ecto. Great comparison.

I believe you are close enough to us to make this. You would not be disappointed at our place.

Ecto has tuning and very specific parts to help it, the ecto had probably close to a half in on wheelbase. For me the more Capable rig is the winner, but I wouldn’t vote till you get that pro dialed in and maybe back those turnbuckles out so they have the same wheelbase just for testing. 👍

My vote is the Ecto. Seemed to get over and around most obstacles easier and more fluid. Love your videos!!!! Great comparisons and videos. I have the Element builder kit V2 Nd love it.

I'm going with most of the people and give it to the Ecto!! A RTR with minimal upgrades and slightly cheaper. I think more points should be awarded for one that completes a line over one that doesn't!! 😁 Either way I think both trucks are great. I love my Ecto and when the Pro gets back in stock I'll probably pick one of those up too!! Thanks for the great video!!!

Great video! Ecto wins as I watch but I'm not driving...Only thing I have that best my ecto is my Negative G TC and its easily twice the money I have in my ecto.

My Rock Pirates Kraken rails will be here today but honestly I’m torn between making the switch or getting more seat time with the pro the way it is. I don’t have an Ecto yet but I have to say I’m sold, I’ll have one shortly!

Clearly Ecto is the king! Crowley was the decision maker. A basic stock Ecto walked it easily and the PRO which is supposed to be a comp rig failed on Crowley. Nice comparison! I’d like to see other hard lines compared between the two in another vid!

Good comparison. I think the Ecto won, but i like seeing how each one does on different obstacles. What helps a rig in one situation, hurts in another.

It would be very interesting to see this competition with pure stock cars.

I feel a different set of tires is in order, jconcepts tusk or proline pro-x's. Definitely going to make a difference with some brass on the pro

I’d probably call it equal, or a draw, the problem here is you need to try a few different terrains, obviously both very capable rigs, but both very different. But I do think that spend the same amount of money on the ecto as the pro costs and do a comparison. Appreciate the video, it’s helped me decide which direction I want to go with crawler number eight…

hi Joe👋, great comparison👍. maybe i am the only one who doesn't like the ecto😅. for my pratice i prefer portal axle🤗, i dont like the front axle of element rc. and honestly i prefer my trailrunner upgraded to the Ecto😊, because it's a great climber and really nice to drive it👍. it remains a picky opinion😉, I admit that the ecto is an excellent machine👍, apart from the original tires, which is a shame... have a nice day✌️

Maybe your SCX10Pro has just 57/58/59% Frontweight-Bias, and wants a bit more. SSD00472 Brass Knuckles for SCX10 III Straight Axle should fit. Or from Treal. Or from China. Or Axial will make some soon (with carbon chassis rails and so on)

Gotta give it to the Ecto. Pro being more controlled on an obstacle that Ecto completed as well, shouldn’t score the same as an obstacle Ecto walked up, but pro could not complete.

Some brass on the pro and it would dominate that test! Each have their pros and cons and perform differently as stated…

I figured if anyone knew the answer you may. I have no knowledge of element . Are the green , yell and black ecto all the same . Only the black one has the patina paint but under the body are they all the same? And do the rear link arms cause that much of a issue crawling? Thank you any and all who reply Cheers🎉

I don't know, to me, all the turning in the world doesn't count for anything if you can't make a climb... plus the Ecto "looks" easier to drive. Visually, speed to the top doesn't seem to be something you're shooting for... Probably too close to call except the fail by the Pro. Nice one!

i'm a big axial fan and i still think the ecto took the obstacles more in stride than the pro.

3:19 lol it had twice the front overdrive than the other and its a shorter car. of course it won. wouldnt even count that as a win though, actually wouldnt have even done that test at all consider the unfair advantage.

Nothing beats the Honcho, once you see that, it's hard to go back to smaller scale imo. Hey I have a few 1/10s but the 1/6 is a beast. I think the most important factor is it has the weight to crawl almost to a scale if that makes sense, 11 kgs is seriously heavy.

Well the pro should win. I actually think it should have killed the ecto on ever test. But me and you both know how great the ecto is. I wish my pro would hurry up and get here so I can get to building. I'll have My brass parts before the truck🤣🤣🤣
