Hey man! Keep em coming, I love your genuine content so far! You should join the scx24 subreddit, post some videos there to get more traction! I'm currently running 60mm tires on my gladiator but i thinks it's too big honestly, just got some mickey Thompson Baja pro x 56mm and some other goodies so it's a waiting game for the mail man! But look into the subreddit, it's a decent community. Have a great one man!
@texomarc2 жыл бұрын
Awesome! Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll check it out. The bigger tires come with as many disadvantages as advantages, so it’s gotta be the right tire for the terrain or it can be harmful. Same thing with tall shocks. I’m hoping the 56’s hit a nice balance, plus they’re 22mm wide! Thanks for the info and the sub! Hope you have a great day.

I got the scx24 JLU wrangler and went with HR steering links, injora high clearance links, injora skid, and a ecopower servo that turned out to not fit. Yeah racing servo mount. The servo was just too big and hit the frame rails. My stock servo stripped inside, So rather than order something else, I ended up chopping the frame off at the shock mount to make clearance for the servo to work. Injora double barrel shocks with the original short springs and your spring trick, then mounted the shocks "upside down" for clearance and keeping the weight lower. Wheels are some awesome aluminum beadlocks I found on amazon for $20 for the set of 4. Tired are axial rock lizards for now. Oh, and I picked up some cheap a$$ set of brass parts for like $22 on amazon that included front hubs, wheel weights (which I'm not using), diff covers, and hexes. I can't believe how well it performs. I just yesterday swapped in the furitek micro and lizard pro 2. The slow crawl is unbelievable! I ended up using a flysky nb4 radio that I have for my drag cars, because the receiver is so tiny and fits on what's left of the receiver shelf together with the lizard pro without needing to add anything. Most fun I've ever had in RC!!

For the rear steer setup you made, did you have the ability to adjust your endpoints for the rear servo? I’m wondering if you’re able to go straight ok and turn either direction well when using stock electronics.

I don’t know how to adjust the end points. I had to heat and bend the steering link coming from the servo horn to get it straight. Hope that helps. Have a great day, bro!

To make it fun & simple start with 0 the add the following Hit gate +10, Rollover +7, Reverse +2 on a rollover your reset to last finished gate, rollover only counts if you have to put a hand on the car. The lowest score wins.

Would love to see you turn Bella into a performer. I bought the same truck...my first SCX24. First thing I did with my Bronco was to pull all the extra junk off the body. I also pulled the front bumper off. Dropped 30+ grams and it looks better in my opinion. Good luck with Bella.

Thanks bro! Welcome to 24 life. I’ll see what I can do because that’s the plan, to get her to do as well as possible. Even without the added weight, the gladiator will always be more capable, though. Glad you’re here. Hope you have a great day.

Awesome video. I love the longer videos. I just turn it on and tinker around on my rig. I am looking forward to getting in some comps. I also like the long wheel base of the gladiator but I love the look of my Bronco. I plan on just making my Bronco a tow rig / class 1 comp rig . Have you tried making a rig with gladiator rear links on the front too . I know it is going to be a bit long but I think the wheels being out in front of to help approach angles.

It’s all going to be event/club specific. I think you should be good, if you can self-right. Reverses should only be counted once the wheels are back on the ground. At least that’s how I plan to do it.
