It’s definitely not a grease it is indeed a silicone oil and lots of people have had it in the slipper real fast lol.

Thank's Joe for the Bracing and BEC Tips but I'm planning to go BEC to Steering Servo and let the ESC power the rest through a Wye connection... I like mine,, but my body has a split by the door already, the slipper nut was so loose out of the box it wouldn’t even move under its own weight. Had to take motor and trans apart before I even got to run a pack through it. But it’s back together now, tight and end points set.. so far so good now..

Yeah I had to do what you see here before putting it on the ground. I haven’t rolled this one yet so the body is still good.

Great seeing the tear down. For batteries, maybe want to look at Gens Ace Basher Pro at 8k :) If you go with the Spektrum 6100AT (take it out of the Ryft) and a Rugged, you can get voltage monitoring there too.

My suggestion is add a volt reducing circuit to bring the BEC voltage down to 5v for the fan and lights.

Great review, much appreciated. Mine literally was delivered as I was watching your video, saw the big AXIAL logo on the BIG box on the ring camera as he sat it down. I managed some restraint, finished the video, with a fresh grin I might add......then headed to the porch lol.

Go with castle kit 1717-1650/8s or I think they have lower kv in that size it's in my exb kraton 6s and it will crawl so in some like this be awesome and I've only ever ran it on 6-4s and it still nuts

and now we wait for vitavon to make a dig trans add on (and seeing as the front and rear outputs are separate it would be fairly easy to put some nice overdrive to relief strain on the trans when turning, but I wouldn't go any higher than 24% and about 12% would be the best for something of this scale).

Ovonic has IC5 7600mah 3s batteries, thats what i use in my Arrma and what i will use when i get myself a SCX6.

My 1/8 scale Marksmen is a very good Rc because it has a wide low stance it will consistently out perform 1/10 scale moded RC’s just because of it. I’m guessing it’s going to be the same for the SCX but it is a high body so maybe someone will do a shoot out between the two. Mind you the Marksmen is half the price!

Yes most definitely it looks almost half the size & next to my 10 scale it’s not necessarily looking that much bigger just much wider. So that SCX should be an absolute beast.

Oh and do trim gorilla tape around windows if you got clear windows the gorilla tape stops rock chips too use gorilla tape on any short course rig if you don't want to buy body shells all the time lol

Hi can you put up a video showing the easiest way to mount on the body. Because those body guides at the bottom (nerf bars) masks it not so easy.

To stop body cracks and body breaking look for weakness in body those spots use gorilla tape inside before you run the rig weak spots are corner areas and sharp bends when body was molded

I really want one but I think I'll have to wait until they get the production and QC under control. I don't want to have to upgrade or fix A 1100 dollar toy right out the box. (And other lies i tell myself) but on some real the front axle shift, the transmission slip, the shifting servo mount and the steering servo need to be fixed on the production models and then It'll be a perfect truck.

Seems to me, 90%+ of all crawler rigs are for competition. I had an 8th scale rig i loved. Wasn't ANYWHERE to compete with it, ever. So, Horror-izon make a 6th scale. They aren't the brightest bulbs in the pack for sure.

That behmoth is bigger than a 100Qt Coleman cooler !!! With that size, I bet it will obliterate every obstacle @Exoplex...or will it ? Honestly, aside from being a (sizable) "novelty" I don't get it! It's to big to be carried around everywhere, to expensive to buy and probably obscene to upgrade...granted it may be a laugh to drive... for that price and at that scale, I think, buying a real car makes more scense lol. I think it’s workable once it’s reliable. It can pull a trailer, carry a chair, small tent, maybe some drinks and equipment. Would be an awesome weekend trail camping tool.

@@ExocagedRC I have an Axial SCX10 iii gladiator and the steering stay bracket is made of cream cheese but that car actually looks cheaply made but why ??? They are going to destroy their decent reputation!!
