seems to be as noisy as skoda fabia/scala/kamiq past 100km/h but i do remember t-cross pre-facelift being rather quiet while city driving compared to skoda

Because that car's confortline and highline versions have a tiptronic type gearbox, which means according to Volkswagen, "Tiptronic technology allows you to select gears manually, replacing the computer that controls automatic shifting and choosing how to drive. Thanks to this system, you can experience manual driving control or the comfort of an automatic transmission".
