Great demo! I saw this boat in a harbour in England and I love it. Great explanation of the benefits of outboards and the demo with the joystick is brilliant - it's mesmerising how two rear end outboards are that effective in moving a boat sideways!

Outboards are marine design, easy to service, more reliable, lighter weight. Glad people are liking them more.

I don't care for these small power boats, usually, but I think I am in love with this one. It has such nice features, though I would not want to spend a week on one - maybe a weekend at the most. I love the curtains and the opening sunroof. The outboards get rid of the question "Why is the engine room so cramped?" I'm not sure it needs 600 hp to jaunt around a bay or lake, but I suppose if you can afford this you can afford the excess hp and fuel consumption. The cabins are nice, as is the single head. Yep, nice boat. Not for the family fisherman, probably not for offshore, but still a nice weekender with great controls for docking and close-in manoeuvering. That side dock is a great invention. The twin rear swim steps a la sugar scoops look useful, too.

i live next to marina near alicante, with my pregnant wife and dogs we go for a walking around the boats, so i kind of developed an eye for the boats and there are two of this boat in our marina, i told to my wife this is really ideal boat for buy as a sharing boat with close family member between 2-3 family and share the cost of it and enjoy all together with our kids as its quiet big and have a pretty sleek design took my eye, and today this boat show up on my youtube home page, amazing.I think algoritma that is listening our phone is keen to get more than my eye, my money.

I’ve been on a lot of boats and worked in the charter industry for over 20 years both sail and power. This Beneteau is thoughtfully designed! I love the cruising /comfort features. They have packed a lot of “big boat” features on this 36… I want one!

Its called "walking" the boat to Port or Starboard. With Two engines the "backing" engine will be the side you are walking to. Drove a 84 ft Warping Tug (Twin water jet w/360 degree rotation on the jets) for the Army at FT Eustis for 10 years in case anybody is wondering lol....

This is, by far, the best boat review I've seen on KZfaq. Very articulate and the explanation of the features combined with how they can be utilized while aboard is very clear and concise. Nice boat. I did notice, however, some misinformation about the diesel generator. It was compared to the gasoline-powered outboards as not an "internal combustion engine." I think the speaker may have meant to explain that a gas engine is less favorable to have inside the boat. The term "internal combustion" applies to both diesel and gasoline engines, since the fuel explosion that drives their pistons, is burned directly within the engine cylinders of both types of engine. These differ from an "external combustion engine" where fuel is burned separate from the moving pistons as in a steam-powered piston engine (the fuel is burned in a firebox "external" from the powered piston). What I think the speaker may have intended was that a diesel generator was safer to have "within the engine compartment" of the boat than a comparable gasoline-powered generator (diesel fuel is much less volatile than gas) and thus reduces the risk of an explosion as compared to a gas engine. The outboards on this boat are "external" to the engine compartment but are nonetheless internal combustion engines. I studied marine engineering and have pulled wrenches for years. No intention to offend, just offering some clarification for the benefit of all. Best Wishes!

This is a fantastic yacht design. It is nearly perfect for what I would want in a yacht. I particularly appreciated the use of an electric burner instead of propane. The only suboptimal part from my perspective is that it has a generator instead of solar + batteries. I understand that the sun won't always be out, but if I can plug up at marinas anyway, I don't see that as much of a down-side. It's just one less piece of equipment with moving parts I have to worry about, and one less type of fuel I have keep track of. Solar panels instead of a sunroof would have probably made this a straight 10/10 for me. Other than that, I thought the design made a far better use of the available space than anything else I've seen in this size.

The innovation and thought to practicality on this boat is impressive. Very well done. Of course, there is always the one negative. At 13:00: Remember to slide the bench forward before raising the outboards. Never heard of a limit switch??? coupled to a red light until the bench is in proper position to raise the outboards?

I own an Antares 11 and I have some plusses and minuses to report. It is very easy to use and the joystick function makes docking a breeze. It handles very well in calm and rough seas - had it out in 6' swell and it was fine. Great speed with twin merc 300's. Great vessel for fun on Narragansett Bay environs. That said, there are some real flaws. First and most inmportantly, quality is not like the old Beneteaus. The company moved production to Poland and the quality is shaky. Leaky overhead, misaligned cabinets, A/C works great in cooler weather but completely fails to keep up with hotter temps (we're in RI which isn't exactly 'hot weather'). Even the toilet seat was dielivered in the wrong size. One design flaw is that the helm is very hot in warm weather - zero wind flow and no windows to allow wind flow. BTW - it is not exactly cheap either. Also, Beneteau completely eliminated ANY direct contact and all complaints/concerns must go through the dealer. It is impossible to complain about a bad dealer to Beneteau HQ

Finally after a long wait & see of shopping around & seeing diff. Kind and Style of Yacht from diff. Manufacturer I finally made a Decision after watching the excellent walk through from this Young man, I guess my Friend Sen. Manny Pacquiao will be interested this one too.
