Vex on Broom is from an online D&D show called Critical Role! It's a global phenomenon and broke kickstarter records with millions of dollars to produce an animated special. Super huge fandom, beloved character and first from the line of many to come! Shes so gonna fly off the shelves!

Just to add to the comments about the Critical Role Pop, it is also a comic book series which is probably why it slots in for a comic con pop :) as well as a "web series" on twitch and an animated show is in production :D

How people from Latin America and other countries are going to get those Pops⁉️ Because SDCC exclusives never get here (Mexico🇲🇽, in my case) and there are no shared exclusives here 😢 the only way to get them is online, months after the Con and they are soooo expensive, almost 70 usd

I'm really excited for Anchorman and the Sonic 2 pack! With Tails and Silver there are hardly any figures of them in their Super forms, so that is a landmark item. I am disappointed that there are no Hanna-Barbera figures this year. I am a huge fan of those and the cons usually get really cool characters (and I think we've officially run out of Wacky Racers so maybe now we can focus on other characters), but y'know. You guys are right. Times are tough and I think we should be glad we managed to get what we did.

Not too disappointed. Black Lightning is my main want for this SDCC (hopefully I can get one!). Other than that, Stan Lee and Nightcrawler are must haves. I wish there were better Star Wars pops and more Arrowverse though.

I really wasn't disappointed about there only being about 40 sdcc funko products. Im actually kinda glad there isn't a crap ton of pops. The only 2 i want are the Bakugo and Yzma as Cat

Was planning a trip to IKEA to pick up shelves and bookcases. Then the week before I was to go state shut down. Darn it. My collection room is waiting for display cases and library room bookshelves are getting more bowed from weight of books.

Stan Lee, Cyborg Superman & Ra’s Al Ghul are the only three I’ll try to get. If Black Lightning isn’t too hard to get I may try for that as well. Not only about half of the normal amount but no Barnes & Noble exclusive either. Kind of weird. I guess we’ll see what’s to come in the future. Maybe some of the others they were going to do if SDCC did happen will be released in other ways?

I want to try and get the Yzma and Invader zim lol for sure. I wish I got the Scott Pilgrim pops back when they first came other and get Wallace. But yea sadly I don't own any of them. They are all way expensive. NIghtcrawler is a maybe. Not sure how I feel about the Wade pop since that was horrible. I did notice them cutting down on pops since they do seem to sell out faster. Which means it may be harder to get them with ebay sellers etc.

Vex is a character from the first campaign produced by a group of 'nerdy ass voice actors' that have been streaming on Twitch since 2015 and have grown quite a fan base. Just over a year ago, the got a cartoon series off of the ground with the community's support. Pop figures were due for the show, but it was indeed surprising to see an exclusive before the main line even had glams released.

I have a gut feeling Toy tokyo is gonna have their bundle over $70 that includes 3 pops that include Aoki, Sacaramouche and the 3rd will be wither MOTU Blast-Attak OR MOTU Clawful. Hopefully I am mistaken.

Stan Lee cameos in a "marvel" character movie was first I believe in Blade in '98 then in X-Men in 2000 but your right with him first being in a MCU movie in Iron Man in '08

Critical Role is amazing! Most popular live play D&D streaming series with a MASSIVE following. So popular that their kickstarter for an animated series blew UP and is now picked up by Amazon to make double the episodes they thought they could even fund.

I knew something was up when only Goku was shown. Kefla was one of those leaked pops. Also, the yugioh pop funko were also hurt. Why? the third Winged dragon of ra 6inch was suppose to be Nycc. Nope. Everything is gonna get shoved. Watch it won't apear then. Comic Book Guy was a huge hit for me aswell. Oh well, I guess Vulpix and Bakugo for me. I am not too upset. Yeah fundays missing is upsetting. However, i save money for other things. Perhaps some games or even other pops in the future. I don't know. My dissaponitment is not interacting much with other collectors. I miss Ashley, Sully and even Hillary. Really hope this gets better. Stay safe everyone. Goodluck.

Wasatch Pop said the Anchorman pops might've been a common wave that substituted for pops that didn't make it in time for the con, and I'd have to agree with him. Feels very odd to have an entire line for con exclusives. Comic book Guy was a massive disappointment for me as well; my most anticipated pop for this year, but I'm sure we'll see him "soon".

the only pop I'm getting is the Harry Potter one. I have every single HP pop that has ever come out and even if its not the best HP pop ever I do want to keep the collection complete

The Critter community is an insane fanbase, and getting Critical Role fans to dip into Funko is a big deal. The secondary market for Vex might be wild. (Especially with the rest of the Vox Machina set coming.)

Oh buddy, you don't understand the Critter Hug of Death. If COVID hadn't been an issue this year, Critters would have swamped the Funko booth for that Vex pop. Similarly, if it had just been a typical release, it's gonna sell out. That entire line is. The nerd herd is coming.

They laid off a lot of their creative staff :( and paired down staff in general so if they pulled back on production and had issues w imports due to virus I wouldn't be surprised. Most of that stuff would have had to have been ordered before Christmas for port delivery and distribution in time. And w the virus and shutdowns overseas shrug. I hope they come back and can rehire those layed off.

Keep in mind how many people Funko laid off. Many worked in the art dept.

Yzma is the only pop I want from SDCC. That's a first in my 5+ years of collecting. It sucks because of everything going on, but understandable.

I'm honestly not even excited about SDCC this year, even though it's more accessible. I'll wait for the 20th anniversary X-Men POPs in August.
