KR Models BR Blue GT3 - Model Trains with Real Sound

A short running session featuring the English Electric GT3 Gas Turbine in BR Blue from KR Models edited with real sound.
Sounds are provided by a number of locomotives from my sound collection, captured at various Gala and Preserved Railways over the past few years.
Here we see the GT3 sporting 'What if' BR Blue livery in action on a short passenger service , consisting of a rake of Ex-LMS stock.

I really love gas turbine trains since I myself is an aviation geek, and it stimulates my 5 senses when railroading and aviation have something in common

Absolutely love this BR Blue GT3. As many have said, something different... but I'm a softie for BR Blue so what's not to like.

Aggressive livery! Can't say I'm a fan but I applaud seeing something different and am sure some others will love it

@@SDJR7F88 different is good. Living in the U.S. which is the walmart mega corporation car centric standard....this locomotive is exotic and different. Sanity and practicality in America is frowned upon. The GT3 is perfect here!!! For Christ sake , pickup trucks that weigh as much as a f***ing ww2 Sherman tank are a very common and acceptable vehicle here. Gt3 is beyond practical at this point.

OMG IT"S BASIL! I guy I know called Kiefer Adams did a story about this locomotive where he helps the engines of Sodor

Nicely done! Im guessing 56 again? So having seen the thing from all angles, what are your thoughts on the livery?

Yep, doubt we'll ever hear the sound of a real gas turbine again. Really like it, hence I got her. I know some are not a fan of the yellow doors, but for me I quite like them, something a bit different (to say the least). 😅

Hi Callum did you have any issues with the Conrods. Running mine in on my rolling road I found out 4 screws were loose, one unscrewed and jammed against the body that's when I checked them all and found 3 others loose. Seems to be fine now.

Interestingly different, I think the phrase goes. The indecisive arrows on an older locomotive means it would have had a decent innings with B.R. then. Could have gone for load testing - had her hauling 8 or more .... Al.

Indeed, certainly would off been interesting. As with all of my sound edits on this scene I'm limited to 3 coaches. As seen in my Railway Room updated and on the Hornby a Model World TV show, the layout is just 72cm long with a length at flexi track at either side for run offs, which are just long enough for this size of train. The rear of the train stops right on the edge of the camera, just out of shot each run

@@SDJR7F88 Thanks. I obviously misunderstood. I thought they overlapped into each other, with a connecting rail, hence the comment. A large 'through' train could have worked.
