Iron maiden are timeless. That's why this is their second pinball machine. Eddie is the perfect character.

The fact that you guys dislike iron maiden so much yet still speak highly of the gameplay is a major boon to me. I love Iron Maiden and that was what originally made me giddy to see this pin for the first time in person when I was first catching the pinball bug, so I can only imagine how much fun I would have owning this pin.

Theme and art are probably the most subjective of all. I, like many others have been screaming for Iron Maiden for years on the forums. Finally got it, and everything from the sound to the art to the layout to the rules. Everything is topnotch for me, fantastic shooting pin. Great, easy to comprehend rules. Always something else to shoot for. Love this pin. Premium is definitely better. The center ramp in the pro gets old. In the premium, the scoop under the ramp makes the game better. Plus the sarcophagus, really makes it better as well.

The Band Iron Maiden is universally loved around the world, and has pulled countless music fans into pinball fans because of this game imho. good review. this must be my next machine, Guns n Roses sill have to wait.

Great vid! Had a few IM tapes back in the day, so I loved being able to select my own song. Went to a free play arcade that had this in their VIP section, volume cranked up all the way. I love how multiball was easy to achieve, the lights really enhance the music, played it for about 2 hours straight this weekend. I grew up with a Dodge City pin in our basement, parents still have it. My dad bought it for $100 at a garage sale back in about 1984.

Games so great. Not even a fan of IM. But, LOVE IT!

I have been waiting for this pin for decades, but I totally get why others might not like it. As an IM fanboy... it’s a dream theme. Good for me, bad for you. Pretty happy I wound up with the Archer playfield.

I ordered this because I love Iron Maiden the theme of Eddie speaks to me and pinball. So a solid machine. But for a second pin machine something different like Godzilla or Deadpool would be fun.

This was my first video review from you guys. Admittedly I’m not a pin guy but I have become a huge Iron Maiden fan. I’m in my 50s. My brother started listening to them in the early 80s in high school and I thought their music was complete shit and have literally not come around to being a fan until the last 5 years so I get what you are saying about the music but the band is still huge and has a badass following of fans to this day and still put on an amazing show. My friends just bought the premium addition of Iron Maiden pin and for a fan, it’s so much fun to play and now I have to say that every damned night I look at pins. I’ve got an old Williams Pat hand in the basement. It needs a tuneup and it’s fun for nostalgia reasons but not I’ve got the bug to get a kick ass pin and will start watching your videos! Nice work...even though you hate Maiden. 😂😂😂 oh BTW...the dog name you were looking for is Anubis guardian of the underworld in Egyptian mythology. I’m an Egypt nerd as well which may also explain my love of the maiden pin.

20:30 You guys didn't cover the super secret skillshot. Plunge the ball just light enough that when it exits it goes straight down the left outlane. You get like 10 or 20 million (can't remember exact amount) + some extra ballsave time. Someone told me about another one, but I can't remember and also haven't found it, so it's existence is questionable.

Guys, I think part of the allure of this game is to boomers. My dad served in both the pacific and Europe. Dad saw a lot of bad stuff and almost never talked about his war experiences. I know it seems distant as the US civil war, but to, Children Of The Damned, who grew up with these damaged men it resonated. One of my best memories is a concert in Mesker Theater in Evansville, IN. an open air venue. Blue Oyster Cult opened the session flowed by A German metal band Accept, then Iron Maiden. I already head deafened myself listening to the band's songs in my car and whenever parents weren't hone This is a small out door stage When Edie inflated and arose out he canopy covering the stage, nearly reaching the crowd, it was an truly awesome sight I will never forget.

Just want to reiterate about your hating the theme... This is not a band theme pin. There are no images of the band anywhere. Only time I noticed a direct musical reference, apart from the bands songs is Eddie holding a guitar during the x times bonus award animation. Otherwise it's straight up monster theme. I think you rated it too low. You would not/could not have Zombie Yeti's art which you gushed over, without the Maiden theme. They go hand in hand. Also, Zombie Yeti channeled Derek Riggs' style. He really stayed true to how Derek drew Eddie. Derek was the bands main artist for many, many, years and from time to time still draws stuff for the band. And again this has his flavor all over it. And that is part of the theme. So I think you were trying to be too cute or clever. And that's not an insult to Zombie yeti. I think his art is killer and I might one day get a Ghostbusters cos it looks amazing.

Yes Greg ...we missed you.😜 The art work does look amazing but the video graphics seem a tad outdated, at least compared to say Oz from Jersey Jack . Calling the graphics PS ONE is a complement, you guys are too kind. It could just be me but stern should step it up a notch in the on sceen menu design. I think JJ has spoiled me.

Iron Maiden is propably the best 'player' pin and a really packed pro, but (music/ license aside) it misses a 'whoa' toy/ gimmik. Since I'm a 'one game at a time' household I'll propably pass. Loving the flow, but directly compared I prefer Stern Star Trek, because of the feedback the Vengeance ship gives the player.

You read my comments with a lot more venom than I typed them! Glad you proved me wrong. Re: the IM table... I dunno, all these new Stern tables bore me to death, even when I like the theme. It's like they're just shoveling 'em out. If I had the $$ I'd get a Houdini or an Oz in a second, the makers of those tables really try to create an experience... whereas to me it feels like Stern is just slapping different artwork on the same old layouts. Not that I know from shit. I live in a pinball-free area of the world, god damn it.

I must admit I am in the camp that is slightly fed up with music themed pins. Sure they are a great fit and Alice coopers looks great. But I would take a Houdini or Alien any day of the week. How do you guys feel about the upcoming Thunderbirds pinball? The price and the approach to having only one model is a great area imo

How you guys rate theme is completely ridiculous. It should be how well the theme is integrated, not your personal opinion of the theme. Maiden is one of the most successful and longest running bands that have ever existed.

Iron Maiden are great, but I don't like music based themes in general. Still better than AC/DC, Kiss or Rush.

Rather than turning the "theme" category into a mere opinion on your love or loathing of a certain movie or type of music, why not judge it based on its implementation? I think the theme is implemented incredibly. Is the music my favorite? Nope. Same with The Shadow. Look me in the eye and say you thought the movie was good? NO ONE would rate it well. It is however, in a lot of people's opinion, mine included, an awesome pin. It is because it is implemented well. The art deco style, the colors, the toys. It is The Shadow defined. Just my two cents. Just hope like hell I'd never have to rate Eminem based on how much I like the music. 😁

Iron Maiden is a Great theme. It is one of the absolute greatest rock bands ever. A "D" for theme is just wrong. Love the channel though........ so all is forgiven.

Darn this video has stopped me dead in my tracks. Just go back from the GGPF, and decided on maiden over POTC ... but I also am not a fan of the band. And a movie theme is what I really wanted. But the game seems awesome.. Now I’m back to indecision. POTC lacks any humor, and takes itself way to serious. Maiden is high energy, crazy fun shots, and lots of variety. Back to total confusion. ;-)

Isn’t theme rating suppose to be integration of the theme? Not bashing the theme because you don’t like it? You can’t rate an Iron Maiden pin poorly on theme because it’s Iron Maiden... the theme is super well integrated into the world of Iron Maiden’s legacy of the beast which is what is suppose to be..... just saying. If you rate a fish on how well it walks on land, it’s gonna fail, but if you rate it on how well it swims it’s amazing. Same goes for this pin and your ratings go way off base.

OK. I'm going to say it. I 'kind' of like Iron Maiden. I've always been a metal head and Maiden fits in the pantheon of huge metal bands, so I kind of have to like it. With that said, it's never been the type of metal that I go to, the vocals are too operatic for my taste and it's more 'epic' than 'heavy' if that makes any sense. With all that said, I think the music is awesome for pinball and if Zach starts singing along, the theme really can't be that bad. I've played maybe 10 games and this is a great great pin, but there are two problems that I've found. First, the animations are amateur and that really really sucks. Pinball and art come together and this feels like a big step backwards. I think the stable of artists that Stern has at this moment are not equipped for the new displays and that needs to change. Second, while it plays AMAZING, there's really not a lot of excitement in this game. Metallica was exciting, the toys were unique and fun, Maiden doesn't have as much going on as a 90's pin in my opinion. I'm really really surprised that this game didn't get animation from Brendon Small. His animation on Aerosmith was awesome and with his background doing Metalocalypse, as the voice of Sparky in Metallica... he seems like a natural fit!

I have to agree 100% with Zach! The theme....its total rubbish! The art is incredible even though I don't like the theme. The layout is great! It's so fun to shoot! This machine is for pinball aficionados. This is not a machine for the casual player. It's missing an interactive toy in my opinion. If this had been guardians with a toy......i would have been all over it!!

Iron Maiden is THE WORST Stern theme ever. Bad music + the Devil. Blech. The awesome Elwin design saves this game. Put this theme on a layout like Guardians and it’s sales would drop by at least half. The world of people who can drop thousands of dollars on a pin is small enough. The subset of Pinball people who like IM is even smaller.
