Love the “this or that” vids! I don’t have many friends in the hobby, so hearing the counter-points and banter helps add other perspectives to my own opinions (away from pinside). ToT: Your two favorite American Pinball games (LoV, Houdini, Oktoberfest, Hotwheels) or two favorite Spooky games (R&M, TNA, Halloween, Alice Cooper, UM, AMH)

Wanted to say thank you. I just bought my first pin less than a week ago. I hadn't played pinball in over 20 years, my family played a few at a kids bday party about 2 weeks ago, we spent hours playing and did not want to leave. So, I started the hunt, I will say based on the few games we played, your comments and critiques I bought JP Premium over TMNT Prem. I am beyond happy....180 games in less than 4 days happy. Also based on your comments I have a deposit on GZ Prem that I can't wait to get. Appreciate the content.

Toy story looks neat, but Godzilla is so awesome! Specially the Premium/ LE! Godzilla might be Stern's best game since AC/ DC

I have a virtual pin and I love it. I also love the real tables as well. They both have their place and audience. I'd be curious to see what kind of virtual pin setups you guys have tried. A good setup with a full size cab, premium screen, solenoids, a shaker, and properly configured tables is a nice experience. I've also played some virtual cabs that are just awful. They are also a labor of love to keep going. I'm a software engineer by day, and I've spent a lot of time keeping mine running and up-to-date. They need a lot of care and feeding. I've told plenty of friends that they shouldn't get one because they aren't technical enough to own them. They can just come over and play mine. That being said, given the choice I would always choose to play a working physical table over it's virtual counterpart if the option was there. That's a no-brainer.

Yes to virtual pinball. No room or $ for real tables. And it is a fun project to together.

I bought my first pinball machine about 25 years ago (TZ), have been collecting ever since, currently own 5 physical games AND a virtual pin. I know it's the norm to poo poo virtual pinball but for me it's a great compliment to my physical tables. The stuff Zen Studios puts out is fantastic, their originals could not exist in physical form. It's a completely different experience to physical pinball that I enjoy alongside my physical games. And I'm not talking about those Arcade1Up things, those are crap. I have a PC hooked up to my virtual table with hundreds of super fun games, high frame rates, no lag. To each his own.....just felt like I had to offer up the positive side of virtual pinball. Great video as always 👍

I live in an apartment, so 3/4 virtual pinball is my only option 😅 its a good entry into the hobby - like racing video games (sim rig) as a gateway to real track days

Yes, I built a full sized Williams wide body virtual pinball machine and love it! With VPX and a good development team like VPin Workshop, you can experience really cool tables that are rendered quite nicely. The led lighting, dmd, art, sound, and code stay true to each game and its great to be able to flip through your library and appreciate everything that goes into making a real table. Also, it gives you a chance to experience rare games like big bang bar and see the actual rom from the game run on your dmd. That all being said, it got me into pinball and I just purchased a Godzilla LE so I’m super excited to own a real table!

Looking down on people who may not have another option to enjoy the hobby other than a Vpin isn't a good look. I'm assuming that's not what you meant, but it's how it came off. I have both and there are definetly plusses and minuses to both. First and foremost being the high price of entry into the physical pin world.

I rewatched the godzilla review. Greg seemed to enjoy it but was really held back by the theme from thinking it was great.. it seems he has come along way and is now signing high praise despite the theme. I cant compare games to the extent of you two of course. but I've at least tried most games briefly and to me it also seems to be high on the rank list. one of the games I've enjoyed the most as a beginner new to pinball.

"McGruber" took the 1UP AFM! I got 🐐 mania on insider so ironically they're both virtual for me until i get a real AFM! Obviously your best work yet tho guys!

Rush is my favorite pin. Not only are they one of my favorite bands, but this pin shoots sooooo well. Great pin! No, the light show is not better on GnR. The lights shoot straight up into your eyes instead of onto the playfield! The expression lights are wayyyyyy better than JJP’s. Stranger Things Pro is a fantastic pin. Only moved mine to get an AFMr in the lineup (damn near same layout). But a great great pin. Licensed games don’t mean doo doo. WOZ pretty but floaty and boring. Twizzlers. Noodle chili is ghey.

Man I feel lucky I got my POTC LE new for 11.5. I don't even play it much anymore but I can't give it up because I'd never pay the current price to get it back.

Thanks for the great This or That! Talking about a newer Stern Pro, I'd have to say Jurassic Park. I'm in the minority here but Godzilla still hasn't clicked with me. It's good but I don't get the hype. But we love GnR too so we're probably just off or something... Thanks again guys!

Eville Pinball should do Godzilla Armor for premiums cause Sterns was weak. Sterns Mandalorian was awesome but Godzilla was weak. Just my opinion but I like that they're going to get into armor.

Struggling with this decision on which two games I want. SW Premium, Deadpool Pro or Jurassic Park pro. One has to go. Which two should I go with?

I played Time Fantasy throughout high school back in the early eighties. I spend so much on that machine I could have bought it. For the past year I have been playing Star Wars pro at the local entertainment center. I am to the point that it is time to buy my first machine. I’m thinking about a Star Wars Premium just because I love the game. Does anyone have any suggestions for a first game purchase?

RUSH LE by a mile! Love art on GNR but gameplay sucks. I've been to several arcades in multiple states and I have observed players walking up to GNR playing it one time and walking away in every location. No replay value. Pretty but boring to shoot.
