7 is one of those films you try hard to forget then like 5 years from now you'll go, "Oh yeah, 7.. I remember that was a great film!" then you get to the lust murder and you remember why you've only seen the film a very few times.. Fun fact, Kevin Spacey wasn't in any of the promotional material or on the poster because people would know Kevin Spacey is the murderer so they kept it quiet he was even in the film so it would be a shock

The thing about Lawyers is, everyone has the right to one.. even the guilty. And a Lawyer could hate the person they're defending and hope that person goes down, but if the Lawyer doesn't do everything they can to get their client off the entire case could be thrown out and absolutely no charges at all.. so they argue and do their job and hope for the best.
@luisgomez8635
@luisgomez8635 2 жыл бұрын
Lawyers are legally and contractually bound to defend their client to the best of their ability, and if ifs discovered that they haven't because of personal feelings, they're more likely to be removed from the case and face consequences if not be disbarred. Seriously doubt the case would get thrown out.

In the United States. That's an important distinction. It's certainly not the same everywhere, while most places pretend to hold the law to a high standard, it's really come the closest to actualization in the U.S. (for all it's inherent flaws, as well, admittedly.) No place is perfect, but you wouldn't want to be put on trial anywhere else, at all. Whether you're guilty or not, the standard that needs to be overcome is guilty or not guilty, absent any reasonable doubt. You don't have to prove you're innocent, in America, the burden is always on the Prosecution, to prove your guilt. If they can't, you walk free. (or, at least that's the agreed upon standard, anyway.) Even in the United States, where the letter of the law is most closely followed, plenty of people get railroaded. But it's still better than anywhere else in the World. (Other places come close, of course, but all fall short. I'm just sayin' ✌

There are three types of criminal defense lawyers. The first type are just doing it for the money. Usually, these guys do a lot of DUI or misdemeanor work; at that level, one is dealing with people who have problems rather than people who are problems. Then there are those who think that American criminal justice is terrible, and they feel like by getting defendants acquitted, even the guilty ones, they are striking a blow for justice against the evil, corrupt system. Finally, there are the ones who very much believe in the system; these guys believe that by putting on the strongest possible defense, they are safeguarding the integrity of the system by making the state proves its case beyond a reasonable doubt.

@@twstf8905 Actually there are plenty of other countries that have equivalent legal standards. America is unique only in that it has a surprising number of people in it who think it's unique in terms of fairness and freedom, and that every other nation in the world is some kind of horrible dictatorship. In fact, America imprisons a higher percentage of its own population than any other nation in the world, including Russia, China and North Korea. It is also not even in the top 10 of nations ranked by the Human Freedom Index.

An alternative ending,which was in the script,but not filmed..Morgan Freemans character shoots John Doe and he doesn't complete his mission.Also,Denzel Washington was offered to do this film.He turned it down,because he thought it was to dark.He saw that this film was great and so,he did the film FALLEN later.

Add "The Little Death" to your list. It's funny and dirty but in the end it's touching.
