This is our last sea day on our 12-day Cruise onboard the Carnival Pride out of Dover, England. We have a fun day around the ship, dress up for the Platinum Welcome back party, and show you behind the scenes. Also, we are blown away by some of Carnival's evening entertainment on this formal night!

Thanks so much!! The Paris vlog comes out today (Wednesday!) and then a surprise favorite of ours is Bruges that is out Saturday! Yes Carnival did surprise us (in a good way) with entertainment a few times.

Never thought of the “root” touch up schedule. Yipes. You were thinking ahead. Sometimes I use a spray temp. color ( only for a couple of days)

When you mentioned the musician at the party was from Winnipeg it reminded me of an interview I heard recently with Captain James Nazer of the Navigator Of The Seas who is also from Winnipeg. I always find it surprising when people who grew up as far as possible from the ocean end up working on ships.

The entertainment sounded great. In fact, most of the entertainment that you've shown over the course of the cruise is fabulous. Can't wait to see what you do in Amsterdam and Paris. Cheers.

Our Paris video is out this Wednesday and Amsterdam will be the following Wednesday. We really enjoyed both of those days, but the hidden gem ended up being Brugge (Belgium). All of the ports were fabulous, and we wish we had more time at them all.

No more on no ship appetizer and I just finished going off the Mardi Gras and the sistership the celebration and they only give you one drink. Carnival has gotten super cheap.

I love opera. The performer sounded lovely. IMO Carnival should have pulled out all the stops for their Diamond guests. Not the place for budget cutbacks. I have never cruised Carnival. I’m open to it. Pet peeve of mine: Plates are served with food splatter on the rim or on the side.

Yes cutbacks in the most loyal guest events seems like a bad business decision.

Would love to see your final bill at the end of this cruise as we go with Marella and take maybe ten dollars with us because everything is included.

We usually take at least an extra coupke hundred dollars for extra tips - to thank the staff for great service. We did that on Marella last year as well.

Woah ! dont do that on Marella as all gratuities are included in the price of the cruise and it will only embarrass the staff!!!

I’m not a big drinker so what is the attraction for these diamond party. Seems to me you just hang around listening to a bunch of speeches. Honest question. What is the attraction other than free booze?

Used to be apps as well but those are gone now. Other than a party with fellow experienced guests it’s a place for free drinks. It used to be a place to see the captain and a longer video about carnival but those things are gone as well. Certainly not what it used to be.

Isn't it strange how some cruise companies have good and bad reputation for specific reasons, and then you find its the opposite. MSC have a reputation for 'not so good buffet dinners' but they are 100% better than Carnivals buffet dinners. I really like the Carnival brand for what you get for the money, but buffet food... especially at dinner time, is not even mediocre... but dare I say 'bad'. No, not food-poisoning bad, but taste less and dull -bad. Sadly!

Back in the day - our experience was that Carnival buffets were fantastic. Closed buffet sections and a transition to paid options has certainly cut into the previous experience for us.
