All the people complaining about the interiors, anybody buying a house in such an expensive location can sure renovate this place. The value of the house is never decided on the interior, it’s always based on the land on which it is build, it’s location! The land price in Marine drive is more expensive than a land in Times Square so yeah this place is worth a lot of money!

You're are right Deepti. Apartments like these will stand here as long as the city survives. Human life is short. Children are born, they grow up, some go away and some get old and pass away. The house lives on and passes on to the hands of the next buyer! The new buyer restores the crumbling house to it's former glory. A new family begins their life in the new home, thrives, grows and prospers. The circle of life continues 😊.

It's not even the interiors The society itself is quite old and hasn't undergone redevelopment which was quite evident from the rusts at the gate, the paint inside the building, the old fashioned elevator and the doors of the houses

Sounds easy ah . Do you know the life of a normal co create building. 😂. The so called Renovation by demolition of some walls, adding new furniture won't make it bullet proof .. Since the building itself is showing signs of wearing down .. Investing such amount for this old one is just washing Down money within next 7 years .. 😊

That's why they're the best in position for make national decision.Think again if it's that valuable owner will never sold at first place especially real estate. They had multiple option to rent to live or shoot for production house yet owner choose to sell. If you are aware of current real estate market scenario looks like owner miss the bus and now selling whatever price will be.

Himanshu Sharma you are absolutely right. You are mainly paying for the view. There are millions of homes available in Mumbai but only a handful of homes with a view like this. You are also paying for the privelege of living in the most vibrant and culturally alive part of Mumbai. Wankhede stadium, Cricket club of India, NCPA, Nariman Point, Colaba, Gateway of India and the best 5 star hotels of Mumbai are all within walking distance. Not to forget Marine drive which is just across the street. Imagine people come from all over Mumbai traveling for hours to reach Marine drive and you can literally reach Marine drive in one minute!

@GuptaandSen
@GuptaandSen 4 жыл бұрын
We will answer the cheese question first 😁 The cheese used all over the place in eating joints in Mumbai is not technically cheese. It's some processed thing in the name of cheese and Indians being Indians not just people in Mumbai love eating junk food. So the more cheese and butter on your plate the better - health be damned! As far as sea facing homes are concerned it is natural that for a coastal city like Mumbai those who can afford to choose to rent or buy homes by the sea. Let's face it - the charm of living next to the sea is a romantic idea for most people all over the world and living in a sea facing home is something most people aspire to have someday in life - like buying a super luxury bike or car or marrying a beautiful / handsome spouse! Because what would life be without such impossible dreams.

Karan Gill Let me correct you mister . First of all its “thee” not “dee”. “Thee” is used for the words beginning with vowel sounds not vowels. And let me also tell you if you do not know... that “thee” is also used when we wish to place emphasis on a perticular word . And she is correct here because she is emphasising on the word marine drive . “Emphatic the” can be used for words whether or not beginning with a consonant or vowel sounds . So my dear it would be better to correct yourself rather than commenting on others .

A typical south Mumbai house. Most of the south Mumbai flats are old and rustic like this. Yes new buildings are coming over but for the buildings older than 120+ years the interiors are like this only. No matter how fancy house we live in suburban areas. The connectivity of South Bombay is the best.

Sorry but you're mistaken. There's no smoke or pollution in this area. The cool winds that blow in from the Arabian sea is pure, clean, cool and fresh and carries away any minimal traces of vehicular pollution. Besides the vehicles that traverse this stretch are all High end cars that emit almost zero exhaustion. Marine drive is a boulevard and not a national highway where diesel spewing trucks or buses ply! Marine drive is a first world stretch of Mumbai so as far as noise pollution is concerned the people driving the cars here follow traffic rules like in other developed countries and do not honk incessantly like they do in the rest of India!

Looks like every young person these days is visualising a doomsday scenario not too far away in the future when coastal cities like Mumbai, New York etc. will get submerged by rising sea levels. Well all we can say is that it's a distant scenario and rising sea levels that submerge sea facing parts of a city will not happen in your lifetime and not untill past 2100. Much before that the world would have invented a new emission free green energy source. Be positive. Humanity has emerged strong from many catastrophes in the past. Have faith in science and the inventiveness of the human mind. Humanity and Mother India will save her prime cities from drowning for sure. Jai Hind.
