Really enjoyed this it's the second best thing to going fishing. This lock down is hard on everyone but may I say a bit harder for us anglers. Thanks Ian

Hi Ian, trust you are well, looks like you had a good session, nice first smoothhound, I love catching them, like the monthly blogs, good format On fishing last week, we caught several strap congers, as usual ruined several traces (twisted and slimed up. - ug ! ) Look forward to the next Go steady. Derek Jefferson cheers Derek yes the backwash was very strong making getting fish in difficult! The monthly format is a good excuse to go fishing without my wife getting arsey! 😂😂 cheers mate ian

Good session and nice selection of fish. Was it Ferrybridge and if so how far along?

ian rand cheers Ian ....we generally walk an hour east from Abbotsbury...hope that helps cheers ian

@@ianclarkfishing Thanks Ian, yes it does help thanks. That must be an exhausting walk! Do you have to cast far out at that mark?
@ianclarkfishing5 жыл бұрын
ian rand hi ian yes it’s an absolute killer!!! We both over 60 now but it’s worth it to get away and it’s deeper water. In favourable conditions I can thump it about 100 yards which is plenty far enough in daylight and not necessary at night. Cheers Ian

great video Ian, I was just wondering what Rod and Reel Combo you are using, i seem to remember you were using a Penn Rampage 11 15 ft 9 is that still the case or am I mistaken. whatever you were using it was man enough on what looked like tricky conditions.
@ianclarkfishing5 жыл бұрын
David Muncer hi David yes still got the long penn rods with the 525 reels. They very sensitive in the tip but plenty of power lower down. The backwash was really strong and they coped fine. Hope you ok tight lines ian

Great video , here in at the back end of August , would like to catch some bream , any tips ?? Cheers
@ianclarkfishing5 жыл бұрын
Billy Underwood hi Billy the Bream should be about then. The further east toward Weymouth the better your chances though we catch lots at Abbotsbury. We catch on pulley pennel rigs size 4 hooks. Use rag or blow lug tipped with a strip of squid. Last two hours of daylight the best! Good luck cheers ian
@scottwhittaker13815 жыл бұрын
Hi Ian when you caught the bass using pout what rig did you use if you don’t mind me asking
@ianclarkfishing5 жыл бұрын
Scott Whittaker hi Scott for fishing in close it’s always a running leger....yellow or red lead and six foot trace of 25lb. Size 2o hooks pennel one in top lip and one in bottom. I use same rig for mackerel head too. Hope that helps cheers ian
