in Basketball, not one Asean country has ever won gold even in Asian level (Asian games/FIBA Asia). The last time Philippines did win was already 35 years ago.

Pafootball-football pa mga iba dyan eh wala namang ASEAN country na nakarating sa FIFA world cup. At least ang Pilipinas nakarating sa FIBA world cup. Siguro kung makafootball ang Pilipinas, serial gold medalist din tayo dyan at nakatungtong din ng FIFA World Cup. Isa sa pinakamagaling na football player isang Pilipinong nagngangalang Paulino Alcantara. Siya lang ang Southeast Asian na nakilalang magaling sa football. 🤣🤣

Kaya nga eh. Di nila alam matindi rin hirap ng mga nag pioneer ng basketball sa pinas bago naging ganyan sistema eh. Tapos ipipilit nila sa mga tao yung sports nila na kung tutuusin di naman sa bias, pero hindi kasing accomplished ng basketball society. Pano maiinspire mga tao nun? Kung panay sila "pansinin nyu ibang sports,wag puro basketball" ehh malalim din ang ugat ng basketball sa street culture ng pinas. Mag grind muna sila kung gusto nila talagang mai-angat yung sports nila.

We dont like fucking football sports that is too boring sport in the world. A lot of time for score. We like basketball because got a exhibition like dunk contest, passing contest and three point contest and also as a filipino we like a boxing this two kind of sports is more popular in the world see what is the most payer athlete in the world most of all is boxer and basket ball player.

What is wrong with mixed ethnicity? Is it new to you? Yes, they are Filipinos whose parents are Filipino+Foreign, they have Filipino blood in their veins, they have Filipino passports, they can write & speak our language. If you have problem with that, you should complain to the SEA games organizing committee.

Some of the half-breeds are home grown and some studied their high school and trained basketball abroad and come back in Philippines in their college days and enter PBA. Some pursue their basketball career on NBA or NBL. I can't see any problem with that? It is jealousy what you have felt. You can't tell players on where they would like to study and train basketball.

@@JP-jx5vn ...FYI, even if we fielded fully homegrown players, your national basketball team can't defeat our Gilas national team frankly speaking. Normally every SEA games we only fielded college players not pro players still they can manage to defeat your pro national teams. Enough of jealousy!

ASEAN DON'T CARE about BAsketball....ASEAN is Football region and Football fanatics...this is a waste of time..... .. Look at the SEA games Finals in Football.... So many Vietnamese and Indonesian Audience watch the games....BAsketball is just nothing...

Filipinos give little care about football, Canadians don't about football but care about ice hockey, lndians do not care about football but do care about cricket game. Americans care about baseball and rugby, Australian do not care about football but crazy about footee. Filipinos are the most westernized Asian. Football and basketball are both foreign games to Asia.
