You should do a video where you make a bar of soap out of materials that Lilly touches! Like, have a some random materials set out and let her go around and pick colorants and scents and stuff, but the design can be a result of your own artistic liberty :) I can understand if you don't though, because a soap that *Interesting* might be hard to sell, but it could be fun and a challenge for you if you do! Love the sea glass soap btw!!!

Yasss! Sea Glasssss!! I've been collecting for at least 18 years....it helps that I live only 10 minutes away from the closest beach on the Salish Sea. When you're lucky after a storm or in the winter or early spring, there is beach/sea glass everywhere, in all colors -- and marbles and glass stoppers. Some days though, you only find a bit but you're out on the beach in the fresh air, so who cares??! It's all beauty, everywhere you look and gosh, aren't those rocks pretty too?? Oh,..and don't forget the driftwood! Katie, follow those Dreams and make them your Reality, Girl!

For anyone curious about the scent: Natures Garden's Blue Agave fragrance begins with top notes of Kaffir lime, lemon zests, apple, and black currant; followed by middle notes of lily of the valley and rose petals; sitting on base notes of oakmoss and white woods.

I lived in Seattle my entire life, Up till last year, and if you go to Alki point you can find sea glass hiding in the rocks on the beach. Hot Tip: rocky beaches are normally the best places to look.

I live on an island and I can tell you that sea glass hunts are a must do for most people. Just like picking up pretty shells and rocks are. When I was a kid, I had a white rock and sea glass collection from the beach. That was the beginning of many collections over the years. Perfume bottles, souvenir spoons and tiny glass and crystal animals to name a few were amongst them. Having a curious mind is a wonderful thing! Katie, you are awesome sauce for making all these beautiful soaps for us. I hope that I can get a few of them Monday evening!

YES! I used to collect sea glass all the time in the 70's when I was a kid in BC. We would go to White Rock Beach every weekend. I loved the mint green ones and we found a lot of dusty white.

I'm from Texas and I regularly visit the DFW area. I know I would be willing to go about an hour out of the way for an afternoon soap class and a visit to a brick and mortar soap shop. It's something I think most of my family would enjoy.

I lived in Hawaii for 7 years and it's everywhere. I spent many hours walking the beaches and collected so much and have made so many crafts. I just love what you did with this soap. Lived in California most of my life growing up and very seldom did I see glass. Love in Indiana now and it's nowhere to be found. So Hawaii has been my best place for glass and odd shells . So moved with tons of boxes full of glass and shells.

Lol I don't think about anything before I fall asleep except how tired I am. My current trade is aspiring creative entrepreneur, so I work most of my waking hours, but I love it. Even though I'm not crazy about being unemployed, and asking for things that I need because I'm flat broke, I love feeling supported by family that I've chosen and has chosen me. I'm trying to push myself over the precipice of going live for the second time after some major revamping and reconsideration. I love watching other artists while I work. It feels less isolative.

I have the opposite story. I was raised in Midlothian, south of Dallas, and also hated the small town feel. I recently moved to North Dallas and I am absolutely loving having so many things to do at my fingertips. I am actually working as an architectural intern currently. So whenever you are ready to move into a brick and mortar store I would love to help you out! I love watching your videos at night to help me calm down enough to sleep. I watch your videos so much that for every gift opportunity (christmas, birthday, etc.) I always get a homemade soap because I can't stop raving about your videos. I have a stash of like 6-8 soaps I need to get through. I might still splurge and get this soap though. It looks to DIE FOR. (Also I've found a quite a bit of sea glass at the ugly beaches in Galveston. I suppose that their less impressive view doesn't attract many sea glass hunters.) Okay I love you! When I was growing up, there was an abundance of sea glass because sodas (or pop, as they're known by in Michigan) all came in glass bottles, for 25 cents a bottle. 7up and ginger ale were responsible for the green glass, coke, orange and grape, et were all clear, while beer bottles contributed brown glass. Not sure where the blue came from, but there was a bit of it. But sea glass was plentiful on the shores of Lake Michigan in the 70s. Hanging out at the beach, bottles would inevitably get broken and the action of the waves lapping the shore tumbled the sharp pieces around with sand until they became smooth. Because of it's availability, I was able to collect tons of it growing up. I am a memory hoarder, and had to have souvenirs from each adventure in the summer or fall days. Used to drive my mom batty when she'd open my dresser drawers and find bits of plants, leaves, cool rocks, fools gold, arrowheads, petoskey stones and sea glass, lol. Sea glass as we knew it ended when they switched over to cans in the 80s and raised the prices. It was definitely the end of an era.

I've gathered bits and pieces of sea glass, but I have an aunt that lives by the ocean and always has a huge jar of it on her bathroom counter with Christmas lights mixed in. So pretty! Love the soap colors😍

I've got two jars of sea glass from when I was a kid living in Hawaii (we collected loads more) The main challenge is that most of it is brown! Only very rarely do you get a blue one and it's like finding gold!

I know this video is 2 years old but this soap brought back memories of us living in Okinawa, we'd go to the beach and find sea glass. I thought they were the smoothest, most magical rocks and I absolutely loved sea glass. I would fill a bucket with it, along with all the shells I'd find. I love this soap, would love to see it come back someday ❤️❤️❤️

Katie, I just recently found your videos on soap and I can see why you have great subs, you are a hoot! You my dear have everything it takes to be a store owner, just jump! Start very small and make big statements stay upbeat like you are and get motivation from others who have achieved their dreams. I am a huge crafter and love making so many different things that it prevents me from becoming really good at one or two things. My question, (after missing soap selling opening day and finding these all gone!) is, how can you not make this every week?!?!? This is an AMAZING soap idea, Katie...and so BEAUTIFULLY (and Royally!) executed! (see what I did there?!?) 😜 I want, want, want!!! Make more of this pleeeeeease! 😫 (In my best begging voice, lol). I'm from Michigan and growing up, (in the 60s and 70s!) when we still bought sodas in glass bottles, there was a ton of sea glass on the shores of Lake Michigan. So much that you could just hone in on the color you wanted and leave the rest there. But then came the advent of the can and well...not so much anymore. In order to create sea glass, you need glass bottles, which comes down to beer bottles today, and with pollution being frowned on, people have begun to take those beer bottles, shatter them and put them in rock tumblers and create their own sea glass. I've been in SoCal for 27 years and I've yet to find more than a few pieces and even those were in the 90s and only on certain beaches, like Huntington, which is more of a party beach then, say, Laguna beach, which is a family beach whose eating/grilling areas are above the ocean level. Sorry you didn't find any when you came out here! Better luck next time! And the ones that you used in the soap are also my favorite colors! (Make more of this soap!) 😍

I grew up on the DFW area, and my ex was from Forney, TX, so I'm familiar with Terrell. I've spent some time at the roller rink by the railroad tracks. That and the Sonic were the only things to do. I think I enjoy your channel because of your accent and storytelling. I dont live in Texas anymore, and you remind me of home. Love you, Katie.

Most beaches have sea glass, it just depends on the time. Here in California, the best time to find them is after a storm, when the waves have exposed the rocks on the beach. The rockier, the better! I love this soap! The colors and the texture are fantastic! As someone who loves the beach, I dig it!! Go for your dreams! See about taking advantage of the expansion going on in your area! At least look around for possibilities! God Bless!

It's so funny to me to hear that collecting sea glass is apparently a rare experience because I grew up near a beach that was just absolutely COVERED in it. I have jars and jars of sea glass I and my family have collected over the years; it's so lovely and wonderful.

I have taught a few of my friends to make soap. It is so satisfying to do this. I am in awe of your success. You are inspiring and so positive. I see other soap makers video and I am like please skip to the end. I get really bored. Your videos are not like that. Keep being you forever.

I have chronic depression and sometimes watching your videos cheers me up. I say sometimes because, well, it is chronic. Anyway, I am in the process of starting my own soap biz. LOL your remarks about living in Terrell. I used to live in Winnsboro, not in town but 25 miles to the southeast. I was the goat lady. It is different from the big city. Especially when you find a panther in your yard late at night on the other side of the window screen. If you decide on a South American vacation, I guarantee you will find all the sea glass you can carry off the coast of Uruguay. I love your stories. Thank you, Katie.

Wow, we have a very similar tiny dream, Katie! I lived in a city all my life until I got married and we moved to a tiny tiny town. I didn’t love it at first but now the friendly faces and small town feel is such an amazing environment to live in. I love it. Every time we drive through town I dream of a cute little spot where I make my bath bombs. (Right now I run my shop out of my home.) here’s to us making it happen!! 🖤

I don't live on the coast of an ocean, but I do live near a lovely freshwater lake. When my gal was little, we use to go down to the beach and walk along the sand/gravel and look for cool things that the waves brought in. One summer's afternoon, we must've walked at least 16 kms (that's equal to US 10 miles!) and found bits of old pottery, weird pebbles and hole stones as well as about 15 pieces of sea glass. I love living near the water even though it can get really cold in the winter with the lake winds/snow.

Yes, I have actually collected seaglass!!! I spent my whole childhood walking up and down the beaches of Lake Erie! I have thousands of pieces of it lying around my bedroom:)

Yes, I have been lucky enough to find sea glass on a Florida beach while shell hunting. It's rare, I know, but I've found all sorts of beach "treasures" over the years! I love this soap!

Yaaaaas gurl do this! Open a shop :) It could be full of soaps but also your bubble bars, bath bombs, jelly body washes, lotions, sugar scrubs (like the peppermint cubes you made), oil perfumes, and candles! It would be amazing! I also love the idea of classes that can be taught in person ❤️❤️❤️

I really hope you get there with your flagship store. Hopefully when you do open I’ll make it to the US (from Australia) to visit and support your dream. Opening your own business is such a good feeling, I’m in the process of launching an amateur radio retailer which I’ve been doing for my dads company for years and it just makes me so proud and I just get so proud of anyone who follows their dreams.
