Sea of Thieves: How to board other ships. Boarding is an Art, and it's not just about getting on the enemy's ship, it's about how you got on the enemy's ship. What if I told you, Ladders are overrated, they trigger multiple factors like mermaids, sharks and so on, not to forget the splashing sound some pirates produce that resembles a puppy taking a bath, which would alert the other crew and interrupt your visit.
I like to think of boarding as creative arts, you can perform multiple tricks, whether its stealing supplies, setting the ship on fire, help them sell and so on. To make all this possible, all you need to do is get on the enemy's territory, but there is always one major problem. Rude pirates do not allow you on their ship, you know why? because you told them you are coming by using the ladder, even though you have several other options, like cannons, harpoons, rowboats, and masts.

Well the thing is. It's an open sandbox pvp. You pretty much have be on your toes 24/7 do tall tales with a larger crew a more experienced patient crew you'll do fine.

Barrel Burton i hear people wanting to be able to swing from ropes tied to the mast to board other ships but this seems mechanically difficult for the devs to implement. but honestly why bother, when you can sword lunge from the mast to achieve the same effect? don’t know why i never thought of it either.

it's one of the best way to board another ship if you are close enough, like on forts. They probably won't be prepared for that. And you can always take keg with you.

Fantastic video Phuzzy! I never considered boarding through the harpoon prompts! I suspect that would require the ship to be moving relatively slowly so you can being in the right position for a reasonable amount of time. An anchored ship would be ideal! So going to try this!

Tried soloing a brig while they were at a fort, they had open voice chat and I didn't have a mic, they kept calling me stuff while I was trying to get around their ladder camping, this makes me feel good knowing I can make their day a little less comfortable for being poor sports about a fun game. I've been doing the harpoon trick for a while now also works well with a harpoon rowboat, the prompt it a little easier than climbing onto the row boat, if you play solo like me very handy tip for when you are boarded and ancored

I usually board when a ship I’ve had my eyes on for a while stop for a quest. I quietly rowboat, replace their own or hitch mine, put loot aboard the boat, keg them, as I always bring them, and get outta there. I then come back with my own ship and take from the quest they were doing
