Nice model. I agree the cockpit could be laid out better but everything else makes up for that. I have had 2006 260’s and a 2009 330.. I actually like my 260 better due to the cockpit layout. I’d love to find a 290 needing replacement engines though..find a couple of 5.7’s or even better throw a pair of 6.2’s!

I love the 290 Sundancer, with exception of the seating layout in the cockpit. That part just kills the boat

KMT15 yeah, it’s asymmetric. Don’t like that aspect either.

What? They're not premium, but not cheap. They're right below premium. You want budget, go for Bayliner, still a good boat, from the same company.

5.0 is a 230 hp 5.7 is 260 hp

The 350 mag (5.7) is actually 300hp.

I do not like a forward birth at all. I like only birth in back, day boat... who the heck sleeps in the bow of a boat that is 30ft?

Yeah, you're right, if someone wanted to sleep in the boat, they should go up to a 320, a lot more space for sleeping in the bow and in the mid berth.

Someone who is claustrophobic and can't sleep in the back... 30ft is ok, i've slept in a 26 one just fine, no problem for a weekend

I sleep very comfortably in the V-birth, and convert it into a couch for day use...Have you ever slept on a 290, or you just like being negative?

Stephen Deac it's more of an entertainment center than anything. i dont see a problem with it? not many people sleep in their boats anyway lol
