Pro tip: the ocean doesn’t care how cool your boat looks
@ladamyre110 ай бұрын
Neither does it care how fast you're going. I see it both ways: Some guy trying to pick his way through gently and keep his people on board, Mr "Expert " comments he should be using those engines to haul buggy through the waves. This guy is "pedal to the metal" and he's about to break his keel in half. It's Haulover Inlet and it has a fast current, and when the wind is blowing the wrong way, it becomes unnavigable.

Crazy story: A close friend of mine was on a sea trial for a boat he was interested in. The owner was piloting and lost control, hit a cement wall and got flung out while my friends face got destroyed. Multiple serious surgeries involved, I was in shock when I heard what happened. He’s better not but half his face still looks wonky but thank God he survived.
