I can tell you no salesman in the United States would ever ever go through the maneuvers. You’re doing to show how the boat handles this is a very good video.

Oh thanks! I was a boat salesman for 20 years prior to this so driven a lot of boats. I've observed many people getting confused when they change from one drive system to another so just wanted to explain what was going on. Glad it was useful!

A good gift for the owner would be a set of ear plugs. Not sure how the owner would find maneuvering more difficult when the shaft drive is augmented by two thrusters.

Yeah she's noticable at speed but a lot better under 8kts! I would just insulation in the engine bay. So with the two thrusters I find it a lot easier to back into docks and lots of other tasks like getting onto a swing mooring in tight spots is easier.

Beautiful boat, however it has considerably greater engine noise compared to the majority of your videos. Did you find the same to be true? Thanks Dan.

Yeah I think she would benefit from some insulation in the engine bay. Under 8kts was fine and there was a point around 12kts which was also fine but when you open her up it was noticable.

I love these types of boats, in fact I used to build them. After looking, for a good long while, on their website, I see they make a really good range just my style. The one thing I would have is a side door at the helm, custom or not. Look how Marex have added them to most of theirs after talking to buyers.

Oh really, thats cool! Side door is always high on my list so completey understand. Although at this size boat I didn't find it difficult to get outside and I wonder with this design if the door would end up being so small that's it's impractical for tall people..??

This is a good looking boat. Craftsmanship looks good as well. Reminds me of a Hinkley Talaria. Thanks for the great review Dan.

I like your reference to sailors yes about 5 knots is what we get on a good day lol .all I know is single prop maneuvers and reverse prop walk can be tricky on a windy day but thrusters solves it all !

Haha yes - I've raced yachts for 25yrs so 5 - 7 kts is very familiar! Exactly my point... with the thrusters you should be able to boss the park first time.

I saw a mix of solid and veneers. All stick build so done by hand

A lot of similarities. I would probably put the Duchy 27 and Barbaros 33 as closer competitors as they are both single shaft etc. The Duchy 35 is noticibly bigger and more capable with twins. But she's also noticibly more expensive.

Yes it was noticable at some points in the rev range. However I did point out a lot of space in the engine bay so I think sticking in some engine room insulation would not be that hard.
