The term ‘Clyde-built’ is famous around the world when it comes to shipbuilding, and the lower reaches of the Clyde estuary were once world-famous cod grounds.
Today however, both of these industries are largely legend, but there is one offering the Clyde can still make that can rival anything likewise anywhere in the country; Clyde-built Sea Trout.
Clyde Sea Trout have, as yet, avoided the decimation of other west coast populations and can offer the game angler sport surpassing any other area in the UK; perhaps excluding the Outer Hebrides and some Welsh rivers.
Episode II of ‘Game-time’ sees us on the hunt for these iconic Salmonids, as we throw metal, plastic, feather and fish strips in there direction in the hope of contacting that very special fish.
