+okkk3 I like the maritime one better, it has more mobility and a spot already made for side sapi plates where the land vest you have to add side pouches to have side sapi plates. Which makes you wider and they stick out

Like I said in the video it is the same vest and setup I use in the military, so im use to the feel of it and operating in it, so to each there own. thanks for watching

If you run things through the shoulder pads they will stop the vest from falling away when the release cord is pulled.

+Michael Fulcher ooffcourse, but it can be figured to be detacheble to, integrates with the vests quick release system-ill try to find a link to it for you.

+Gleb Proskurnin I own this vest, don't need a link but thanks. A better and slightly longer sling will solve his problem. I use a Magpul MS3 in both 2 point and single point without issues. I have used shorter slings where I had his same issue. That's when I thought of running them through the shoulder pads but then they messed with the detachment system. I have since tied off the straps with a zip tie and removed the detachment cord.

@@seabee277 I have the Maritime CIRAS, is that not what you have? The should be a small slot just to the right or left of the pull tab. The cable is supposed to go in there then come out on top into the shoulder strap. Unless you have an older model which I don't know about.

The size difference is what size soft armor fits in each vest. Small will only fit small soft balcs armor. Large fits large sapi plate and large soft armor balcs. I read this I believe on eagle industries website. I'm the same size as the guy in the video and the small fits fine.

The side SAPIs can actually fit in the front of the plate carrier next to the front plate. if you have the soft armor backer, it holds the side plates in quite well.

yes medium should fit you ok, dont know about the smoke grenades, you should be able to find some surplus pouches for them on ebay, and coyote brown should be the color

im 6' and 205lbs and I wear a medium as seen in the video, you dont want a loose vest then all the weight will be riding on your shoulders when you wear it.

I bought my own because when I change commands I have to turn the one I got issued in. My personal and my service vest is holding up good including the velco, just gets nasty after a while when you sweat in it every day, just get a large tub and fill it up with warm water and laundry soap and hand wash it and your good to go again. I choose this vest because like I said its the same vest the military issued me so im use to it and knew how it was, so I hunted on eBay for awhile until I got ahold of a really good deal. As for size im 6' 205lbs and I wear a medium size, cause if its a loose fit it puts a lot of the weight on your shoulders. you got to remember the sapi plates were made to protect just your vidals i.e. your heart and lungs. hope this helps thanks for watching and thanks for the comment!

Many people don't understand that plate carriers aren't made to cover your gut. they're made to protect VITAL organs, i.e. your heart and lungs. you can bleed from a gun shot for days and still survive. I have a buddy who is 6'0 and 195lbs and he still wears a size small. im 5'8 140lbs and I also wear a small. its really ergonomic, but in my 4 years of wearing it, its honestly shit. unless you plan on doing maritime operations where you have a chance of falling in water that could drown you you don't need this type of vest. Save your money and just buy a Crye JPC. Also stay away from companies like Condor and 5.11 for plate carriers, they are also shit. Crye is kind of the Gold Standard when it comes to gear.
