I've rebuilt maybe 75 engines over the years, and one thing I always do is Plasticgauge the main, and rod bearings before I close it up. I've had so many machine shops screw up my cranks, and cylinder specs for new pistons. And I used a couple top race engine building shops all over the country, and they still screw up things. I don't trust anybody's machining work these days.

The camshaft does have bearings; they are called plain bearings.

I am building a 2011 RXT 260. I am using the same Wiseco Pistons. Do you have any recommendations for ring end gaps size or should I say Tolerance.? Or should I go by manufacturer tolerances? Your input would be greatly appreciated.. I've learned a lot from you in this present build, and I'm doing. Thank you again, and i look forward to your response. Keep up the good work.

Did you check piston ring gap? You didn't touch on it at all. If the pistons are new those rings need to be gapped for turbo, non turbo etc...

Do u prefer factor rocker arm bolts over ARP? I see you didnt use arp for those
@calasworld11 ай бұрын
There’s a reason why the seadoo engineers design a bolt that is skinny in the middle so the oil can reach the rockers the ARP bolts that I seen are fat I just don’t like them, if ARP comes out with a bolt that looks like the factory one then I use it.
@fredericosanchez531811 ай бұрын
Makes sense. I rather have more oil on the head for race applications. Factory bolts are strong enough.
