Seagate 6tb skyhawk ST6000VX0023 boot noise

my drive makes rattling noise on boot. listen 0:15~
it is tested using 2 different systems and makes same noise
is it normal ?

Update. I got a new system last year and HDD still working normally. Uptime 16875 Total read 42.96 TB Total write 24.26 TB It tested in the following motherboard each for 1 year, gigabyte z77, asus x470 prime-pro, asus z490 apex. In all three motherboard, HDD makes noise at boot but worked NP except in ryzen system (not sure caused by this HDD but freeze 3 times a week) Since last year, it is installed intel 10th system for 24/7 use and have worked NP.

My ST6000DM004 Barracuda pro has same noise on boot. I hope it's normal.

my drive still working normally since purchase. uptime : 1303h Total Read: 6.62 TB total Write : 9.42 TB

I can only say that the other version (the IronWolf 6Tb) does the same thing (and occasional tapping noise when it is accessed) but it's blazing fast and works fine (as far as I can tell) for now, however the HD Sentinel numbers are bad. I don't particularly know what to believe anymore.

Hi dev x264, I can hear your disk's noise crystal clear, did you change that disk??? I have bought a 2TB Skyhawk a week ago, works very well but it is doing a similar sound on startups, and on stops.

I have the same noises coming from my current 8TB Skyhawk model and it does similar noises even when its just working not just on boot ... but I had the same noises but even worse with a 10TB Ironwolf version and a Western Digital 8TB Red one ... so I have absolutely no ideea why they make these noises or why nobody reports on these ... I can't find any single reviewer mentioning any such noises from any of these HDD's ...

Any word on the Ironwolf with the same noise? Mine makes a sound like the platter is spinning and the head is being dragged across the platter when power is first applied. The very first start sounds like this. I've only booted them twice in 2 hours.
