EDIT: So I've subsequently gone through the ending in more detail and I definitely undersell it here. The ending isn't bad but I do have some problems with it that bring it down for me. Please don't let that scare you off from enjoying a really good series. I used to watch the original anime back when I was a child.

I think its difficult for shaman king to have that one explosive memorable shounen moment because... Yoh is chill. And he influenced his friends how to be chill. The main antagonist-Hao- is also very chill 😆 But i love this series too... its the phylosophy... the simple truths in the story. It talks of karma... of consequences... the simple truths of finding happiness. Of the world being bigger than who you are. That no matter how strong you are... doesnt mean what you wish for will happen just like that. And that its ok. Its ok to fail and to accept that sometimes... conviction and strenghth of will and power of friendship isnt enough. Urgh i love this anime too much. 😆

The manga was rushed due to popularity but its still going to be remembered for breaking the Shonen norms.

Im reading the second half of the manga, it was my all favourite anime when I was a teen. I watched it entirely like 10 times xD , but I found out that the second half was not accurate to the anime neither was animated. But that´s good, we are gonna get the proper animation next year, yasssss

I have to disagree, I can't think of any shonen with a better ending than KZB. I'll admit the final battle is hard to spatially contextualize, but I thought the subversion of the classic "friendship is strong enough to murder god" theme for the sake of a much more down to earth and meaningful moral was inspired.

Manga did not include yoh and the gang meeting the old hao priest while showing them the world and when they use hao's book like on the classic anime .

First Sailor Moon had it's reboot then Cardcaptors, Digimon and now Shaman King gets it's reboot what's next 🤔the original Beyblade, Spider Riders and Kinnikuman or Ultimate Muscle?

I completely disagree about what you said about the ending. I like the ending since it kinda makes sense and does things differently than most other shonen series.

I think I’m the only one who likes the ending,I mean hao is powerful than them and becomes a god so nobody could defeat him with the great spirit he has,but he got a weak heart full of hate and pain and I really like the ending

Hao is wonderful but unfortunately, he is the only character that I truly love in the series because he CARRIES the series. Without him, this series is...mediocre. I like Shaman power system and story progression for the first 200 chapters but then it went downhill afterward. Ren transforms into the soft, compassionate "hero" and is no longer the intimidating rival to main character. MC+ his rival Ren just kinda FADED AWAY their spotlight STOLEN by Horohoro, Joco, Jeanne, Anna, and of course Hao. I swear the MC+ rival Ren were fcking pathetic by the end of the series. They strayed from their initially established path of becoming Shaman King(both stated their ambition SEVERAL TIMES: BEFORE SHAMAN FIGHT AND MOST IMPORTANTLY DURRINGGG SHAMAN FIGHT). But by the end of the series, not only did they not become Shaman King but NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE SHAMAN KING LEVEL.What is a Shaman King? The STRONGEST SHAMAN. I kinda predicted that Hao may actually take the Shaman King title due to how much love he got from fans+author. But even if that's the case, I expected both Ren+Yoh's power level to be close to him AT LEAST before merging with Great Spirit:1.2 million mana. I expected BOTH OF THEM TO INDIVIDUALLY CROSS THE 1 MILLION MANA MILESTONE. But NO! It's not even CLOSE! at the end Yoh, Ren both individually only have Mana level a little above 100,000. DISAPPOINTING! That's not even the worst thing. There are nearly 10 SUPPORT CHARACTERS whose individual mana surpasses Ren's and Yoh's. SUPPORT CHARACTERS! Horohoro: 120,000(same as Joco less important got beaten by main and should have stayed that way as a supporting character; Joco: 200,000(joined main's team late supposed to be much less important yet took too much spotlight); Anna: 600,000(Main got DUNKED ON by his own wife OMG); Jeanne: 680,000; Sati: 750,000; Fcking Golem: 550,000. The main and his rival: 2 MOST IMPORTANT CHARACTERS IN THE ENTIRE SERIES got IGNORED almost no power-up at the end while support characters surpass them by leaps and bounds. Imagine Naruto and Sasuke weaker then Lee and Neji: that's how I feel during the last 80 chaps of Shaman King.

Guys i dont think Chocolove's lips are a problem. I always thought he was wearing lipstick since he is a comedian/performer so i thought it was his style. But maybe that's because im from a country where there are not that manny black people and there was never any racism of that kind :/ so i may be wrong
