ryan is it possible to get an ex silver squadron operator on here for an interview? cause u can find ex red, gold and blue operators that have done interviews but so far i havent seen a single ex silver operator interview anywhere. now i know its the newest assault squadron in devgru but theres gotta be a retiree somewhere from the backfilling they had to do from the other 3 to make the squadron.

Shane Patton is from Boulder City, Nevada. His picture is in many shops downtown. At The Coffee Cup downtown there is a shrine inside at the back wall. Many operators from clandestine units from around the world have put their patches up on the wall around where his picture is. If you’re ever in Las Vegas make the trip out to The Coffee Cup in Boulder City to check it out. It’s the best breakfast / lunch in the Las Vegas area.

I deployed with CJSOTF-A the rotation after Operation Red Wings happened. I do remember that after casualties take place, they put all comms on lockdown. The reasons are that 1) they want to make sure that they have the casualties correct (you don't want a wife getting word that her husband is dead if he is not), 2) they want to make sure they organize the family notifications correctly to ensure proper support for the family.

Brother this is great, it is so nice to hear from someone that has been around trauma and seen trauma that he is not sure of all the details .. “don’t remember the exact time line “ etc … I listen to these discussions on here and it is clear you get it brother and handle it so well … so many people want all the details .. who is to blame etc.. I read some of the comments and they are just shit opinions , we were not there , decisions are made to save lives and take lives in milliseconds … when trauma happens what you remember is the emotions and block the rest and move on … it becomes tough to remember all the details because you block it out to continue the mission .. here is to the solider and warriors that do their best to make the right decision with the information they have at the time … you guys are always professional … Stay in the fight ! Thanks brother for these appreciate it ..

Some new information just came out courtesy of the Antihero podcast. Apparently theres a drone feed of Marcus running away the whole time. When they found Matthew's body it looked like he had only been gone 1 or 2 days. This was 8 days after the fight. There was knowledge that SA-7 heat seeking missiles were in the area and thats likely what hit the helicopter. Very interesting stuff revealed by a former Seal.

Honestly I’ve alway had doubts about Marcus something never seemed right but neither does any Hollywood story around military and spying topics but if axle was alive on that mountain when Marcus was hiding in that hut he needs to be brought up and tried for desertion especially given his role in slowing down rescue operations saying everyone was dead (and yes I know the full penalty that a deserter can face when charged with it in a war zone) he admitted to deserting on national tv when he said he heard Murphy calling for him and he bolted

Luttrell was forced into the decision to save face on seals and the motto. Never leave a man behind. He ran while his buddies called for help. Nobody can tell you how it feels to go through what they do. But they shouldn't glorify that. But learn from it. Learn from the failures that day. The sa7 really gets me...

I’m an Aussie and our media has recently behaved abominably towards one of our soldiers in their effort for headlines. How the media thinks they can judge what’s right and wrong in what happens in a war zone years after the fact is beyond belief. What exactly does that have to do with me, pointing out the fact that Marcus ran and never fired a shot, leaving his teammates to die while they screamed his name and begged him to come back and fight? Before you say anything, it’s all on film so there’s no denying it. The Taliban filmed every minute of it and it’s easily found via Google and then the Rangers that rescued him have all confirmed that there was not a single round missing from his magazine. Again, that can be found here on KZfaq and or Google. With all that being said, I still personally would not have judged him for being scared had he not made a movie claiming a very different story.

Wonder if Luttrell mentioned to this guy how he ran away while the rest of the team was under fire in the operation. My guess is probably not. Greatest of respect to those who defend our country. However, people like Luttrell are a disgrace. He should have known that eventually the truth would come out.

Here’s the thing, the Navy and the seal community know the truth. Lutrell actually did tell the truth from the very beginning, but what happened was the Navy changed the narrative because of how bad and embarrassing this operation made the Seals look.. of course Lutrell went along with this narrative because he got paid a lot of money so he’s not blameless at all but it wasn’t him alone that made the decision to fabricate and embellish the details of this operation, It was the Navy first then Lutrell second. This isn’t the first time the Navy has done something like this … Robert’s Ridge is another.

The whole “tip of the spear” status is disintegrating before our very eyes. So much coverup, so much lying, so much spin, so many book deals, and screenplays and speaking engagements … can’t the military force these guys to sign a contract stating they will keep their mouths’ shut?

Marcus luttrell? His story is compromised. The Navy wrote the book and made the movie. His AAR and facts from others are telling. And don't like up with the book or the movie at all. Luttrell can't tell the truth, but hopefully one day will.

You guys are the closest thing we have to Super Men, what you do is a big reason we still speak English on American soil. My great uncle Karlon is one of the men standing the flag up on Iwo Jima, I’m also a Navy brat born on Great Lakes Naval base, raised in Texas. So I know a little bit about what our great men and women leave out there for us, Love you guys and THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!

The many brave men who landed in Normandy on June 6 of 1944 plus the millions of Russians on the east flank are the main reason we're not speaking German. Unfortunately the history books in America ignore the valiant effort of the Russians.

Yes he was scratched up from evading. He "Latrell" mentioned in an interview he bolted even as his teammate was asking for help. That is desertion. On his first OP he left his mates. Sure some may have already been killed but we know Axle lived and made it to the Rally point, but died from his wounds 7 or 8 days after the fighting. They delayed going in due to Latrell saying they were all dead. Saving face is all I hear now. The after action reports are sealed, but a few honorable soldiers have related it is hard to have a firefight with 20 or 30 enemy but return with full mags. HE walked onto the rescue vehicle. The findings there were 5 to 8 enemy. With Latrell deserting ... he could have made the difference in one or two of his mates lives if he did not cowardly run off. Scrapped himself up bad running with the fear and guilt. The look on his face when he tells the story is not PTSD. It is guilt .. lies ... cowardly actions. Sure that is a part of PTSD. The guilt we put on ourselves of surviving when others do not. Things that have to be done. HE did not have to run like a coward, but he did. The military could not have a Lone Survivor Coward so it was changed to Lone Survivor Hero. Many that have interviewed him seem to not want to hear the truth and then have to back peddle.

I remember asking a dev guy I took a class from what was the truth about RW He said those dudes were advised by a tier one command it’s not a good op and that they shouldn’t go. They decided to go anyway. And there are sops in order so you don’t have to take a vote. And leaving a rope cut from the chopper by the crew was mission compromised from the get go. But they kept going anyway. Anything else you’d have to get from Marcus…that’s what he told me
