Tu lam former Army Green Beret and operator from the tier 1 levels has a video where he's teaching CQB tactics and focuses on how to place your feet and body in front of the door before entering. He talked about how you should position yourself should you fall to one side, you want fall into the line of fire as well as how the enemy won't be able to see your food especially if kept in the shadows therefore teaching your body to react a certain way when coming up to an entry will be extremely good in CQB.

Tu lam was not an operator at the tier one level. He worked with the unit as an intel guy. He didn’t go through otc. Also, that dude is a joke and a bunch of unit guys, including Matt pranka have called him out for being a liar and stolen valor. Dude was a green beret and a combatives instructor at the unit then did the technical reconnaissance stuff with them. Not an operator though. Huge difference. Just like glover lied all those years about being in the unit and just admitted recently that he wasn’t good enough at cqb and had bad habits so he never made it through otc. I wouldn’t take anything tu lam says, seriously…at all.

The only reason why Development group was even called “SEAL team 6” was to inflate the numbers of SEAL teams as a method of counterintelligence.. they wanted people to think that they were just another SEAL team, and that there were more SEAL teams than there actually were.. the unit is actually called Naval Special Warfare Development Group and it consists not just of Navy SEALs but also of SWCC, EOD, and SARC, mostly SEALs though... DEVGRU is the Navy Tier 1.. Delta Force is the Army Tier 1.. and 24th special tactics squad is the Air Force Tier 1.. and these are the KNOWN tier 1 units, remember the US government does NOT want common folk to even know about tier 1 units.. and there are probably taskforces, Black Ops and other tier 1 units that may even transcend branches, and may have only existed for a few very specific operations which we haven’t even heard of and are kept top secret.. and the government doesn’t want us to know.. Hell it’s probable that at some point in time there may have been Task Forces put together of very specific candidates, from different countries.. and for the sake of secrecy, the identities of the members were hidden from eachother.. it wouldn’t be far fetched..

Interested to know if devgru and delta train to SOP in green team and OTC, or if SOP is something that gets picked up on the team. How does SOP get updated, through selection and getting pulled into the teams or pushed out to the teams and spinning new guys up once they are assigned? When a guy graduates green team or OTC is he cutting edge or bleeding edge for standard SOP? Or are they always on last year's textbook in case there is cause to drop?

1) Although BUD/s usually has a rigorous pipeline that is accompanied by a 80-90% attrition rate, these sales are carefully selected. The selection process has to do more with your personality and how you are perceived within the teams. Most navy seals in the community are like family, however, just like any other group or special tactical teams in the military, they have their issues. For those who are overly confident, Showboat, and think they can do anything and I very good doing it, will not have what it takes. Why? Because the main function of seal team is to not survive, but thrive in the face of injustice, adversity, and ongoing threats. 2) members give their entire life to the teams. Although every frogman has their dedication to their Trident, seal team six members are cut from a little different cloth. Their main driver is achieve, perfection, and everything they do regardless, if they aren’t proficient at that particular practice. They will keep drilling down until they are the best and everything whether they like it or not! you have to have a good day and training exceptions. You can’t have “off” there is no such thing in seal team six. Therefore the pipeline for that has an attrition rate. Usually seal team six, although classified training, it said to have an attrition rate of around 75% of its participants. The 75% sales who fail seal team six training, aren’t ringing any bells! Usually they either get hurt and our medically rolled out for good, or they are personality issues. You have to know this there has to be a perfect day for everyone every day! Meaning, if you call your family and found out that say God forbid your wife was killed, you still have to have the best day you’ve ever had regardless of what’s going on. This is very hard for people to blank out and will be dwelling on something like that in their lives no matter what type of training they had. That’s what the people are looking for, those who get tense up and can shrivel in the face of adversity. Although the operator is highly functional seal team member, and is great at tactical warfare, he may have a soft spot in his head that will keep him anchored. If he does, he could probably hide it for a little while, but they will bring it out and that training. there’s a lot of administrative drops and seal team six training. Administrative drops is when the instructors either punished, or straight up dislike a candidate and drop him. 3) is one of the only selection processes that don’t adhere to current cultures and beliefs. Meaning it doesn’t matter whether you’re white, black, or anywhere in the middle, you will get equal treatment. If you are weak and cannot handle it, regardless, if you are a black man, you will be dropped real quick, any type of funny business no matter what you races, you will be dropped. Meaning let’s say at night the instructors catch you in the bunk playing chess or cards. You should be going over your day and mitigating what you did wrong instead of playing cards. For that they could drop you 4) they revisit Hell week or the “buds“ pipeline by getting their candidates back into the swing of things. They get wet and sand and have a similar function like that in the original pipeline I believe. I don’t think it’s a full week but I think it’s like 3 to 4 days. This also is a company by 12 mile trecks, by yourself, wearing a rack with about 75 pounds. You can jog, run, or walk quickly, but you have to make a certain amount of time within those 12 miles. Within two hours you should be completed with those you are doing six minute miles. After those 12 miles you may have ciao, shower, and then another 12 mile track. 5) they isolate each individual by dropping them into situations where there is little to no guidance or instructions. They are giving an overview and it’s up to them to show their proficiency on how they pay attention to detail, and get the job done no matter what that job is. I believe they do evolutions such as dropping candidates from a halo into a wilderness area, which is strategically marked. It’s up for the candidate to drop in, find his bearings, prepared to stay overnight if he has to, to get out of the wilderness. They also conduct small claustrophobic type of scenarios. Like putting candidates and crevices of which they can still extract them if in the case of an emergency, however, has the candidate problems solved their way out of such situations. Although seal team encourages teamwork and discourages individualism, seal team six what’s the first separate him have them survive as individuals, then peace, those strong individuals together to work in unison as a team. A little bit different than the original pipeline which main purpose is to discourage, individualism and reward teamwork, team six pipeline does both. They want to drop their candidates in the most harsh environments possible, places on the earth. Nobody wants to be, and have a great feelingstatistically that when they return to that same place to extract that person two weeks later, they will be able to be there and survive.
