I guess people don't realize that this is reality for alot of Special Team operators. Losing a leg even in the military doesn't have to be the end all, be all. Jason's brain injury doesn't have to be the end all be all for him either.

Feel so sorry and thankful for Clay. I hope he gets well and goes to congress or senate like he dreamed in the former seasons, helping out vets like himself and Brett Swann.

I massively hate what they did to him. He was such an optimistic, funny good guy. and they turned him into a highly depressed, mope who gave up on all his opportunities in life and THEN they take his leg. How hard can you f*** up a character? Clay deserved a better end.

I’m not trying to be mean, but this is kind of showing you the reality of what they can go through or what people go through when they are in the military or whatever I mean I get that as a show when you want to happy ending, but that is not always the case in life things like this does happen so you can’t sit there and be mad because he change the character that you like because you can’t face, but reality is this is what they deal with in reality, so I’m happy when shows go for what reality can be like showing you that it is not always a happy ending I mean you have to work at it takes you just to get that happy ending that you want nothing is not possible but they’re showing that you know they do go through depression just like everybody else. Sorry that you wanna fancy world and watch a Disney movie you just want fantasy

@tammiepage6489 couldn't have said it better. You don't just give up your life in the millitary. You give up your chance at a normal one. Because one you go in the military, you'll never be the same again. This show does a great job at representing that.

Honestly, without Clay in the field and Stella at home this show is screwed. That is a bad ending in some respects for Clay's arc, but I suppose it demonstrates a bit of reality.

@@sam432ful It took me 3 goes to get into watching Seal Team. It really sux that Clay is now an amputee, and his real life has moved on to another show. 9 out of 10, actors who do that end up starring in a flop series. I cannot see people watching a program about Californian fire fighters for 6 seasons...... I think it has been tried before and they all flopped after one or two seasons.... the truth is I have some vague recollection about a firey type show years ago that never lasted. The bloke who plays Jason Hayes should be a repeat winner of an award for overacting. I think I have said it elsewhere, he is one of the exec producers, meaning he has taken a pay deal, or put his money into the show, so the writers give him more favourable screen time to act out being a man child, when not in the field. I would still rather watch Michelle Lukes, Sullivan Stapleton and Phillip Winchester in Strikeback, but all things come to an end.

@@andrewsmith8729 there are a million fire fighting based tv shows and most of them start good but after the first couple of seasons they turn shit but i just watched the first episode of his new show called 'Fire Country' and I really enjoyed it but we will see if that continues. Also there are a million tv shows based on Fire Fighting, Policing and medical procedurals and they all have there charm. Like Chicago med, chicago Pd and Chicago Fire. there is also shows like 9-1-1 and stuff like that, which I didn't enjoy. But i suggest giving them a go because you never know what you will enjoy.

This isn’t necessarily the end of clay on the show. There are many Teir one operators that are amputees. Hell there’s guys operating that are missing both legs. Remember, the Navy has invested tens of millions of dollars into training these guys. They aren’t willing to write off that investment over an amputated leg. Instead, assuming the operator wishes to continue operating, the Navy has the VA fit them with top of the line prosthetics. These prosthetics are insanely expensive, and not covered by insurance. Most civilians could not afford them, but the Navy is willing to pay for them for guys that have been trained to this level. The prosthetics allow them to operate just as they were before the injury. Now, to be clear, losing an arm is a different story, because they need their hands to manipulate their weapons, explosives, hand to hand combat, etc. but losing a leg or two is not necessarily a career ending injury.

In the us army is Nick Lavery. Special forces. Still active even after losing a leg in 2013. In 2015 he returned to being in special operations. Look up Rick Kaiser. Look up Travis Mills. They could have him return with a prosthetic leg.

@neroxfrostbyte7461 Жыл бұрын
@@BellaMPL Yea, but still he won't be able to come back as an operator unless they give him a prosthetic leg that allows him to perform his duties in the field, but I doubt that it would be that sophisticated. They could've done the same thing they did with Trent and just made him be in a coma like he was for the most of the season with Max having to shoot for a different show, more or less Clay's role as a SEAL is pretty much over, maybe he'll transition over to instructing Green Team SEAL candidates full-time and pursue his whole TBI thing again, or even help Ray start up his Vet-Help Center that they've been discussing since last season, overall the show isn't gonna be the same without Clay going on Ops

It's interesting, they do present the harsh reality of war in some form for sure... This season start shook me a bit, though it's kinda cheesy. A civilian vehicle, seemingly not even uparmored any bit, let-alone being an MRAP, flung into the air by an IED blast but everyone is fine inside. It takes what, 3 simultaneous RPG hits afterwards to break one guy's leg open, rest are kinda just fine. Sure, was cool seein Jason go guerilla one man army on the attackers but lol... But Clay's leg... damn, that was kinda graphic. I kind of felt it that it'd have to be cut off later. What now with the series tho? Is this planned to be the final season or were they uh... ballsy or whatever enough to basically leave out one of the main characters like this?
