We're constructing a state-of-the-art facility for seamless pipe and tube production, featuring cutting-edge technology and processes. There are only a handful of plants worldwide dedicated to manufacturing seamless pipes and tubes, and I feel fortunate to be the Project Management Consultant for this construction.

awful editing in some places, really jumps around cutting in almost mid sentence in some case. Other than that an informative video with good animations

I think what we are not explaining in this comparison is the sizing. ERW's can't even get close to the diameters that most spiral weld mills can, a typical spiral weld mill can form pipe up to and a little beyond 120" and the form up time is far less than the ERW time. So lets compare apples to apples next time..
@dougankrum33287 жыл бұрын
...Yeah...I was looking at some pile driving stuff...120" Dia....1.25" wall spiral welded pipe....Pipe looked to be made with maybe 48" wide 'strip'.....

12:48 But is it cheaper or eco friendlier? Apart from that I really liked this presentation, sums up all I wanted to know about how pipes are made out of curiosity.

DOMs are much more expensive compared to the cold-formed sheet + welding pipes. In everything (initial machinery, personnel salaries, energy required by the plant…) and final price to the customer. 🤷🏻♂ Also, the shapes, diameters, thicknesses, materials, etc are more limited with DOMs, because they have to sell to a smaller market that requires that kind of quality.

Really depends on a lot of different factors mate size, gauge, material ETC ETC from a few hours to even a day or two especially for the heat treatment sometimes you can leave shit in the furnace (oven) for 24 - 48 hours. really all depends champ

how the mandrel get out of the tube?
@Captain_Aubrey9 жыл бұрын
Shawn Huang The pipe is left "un-round" or oval so the mandrel can be removed, then it is formed into round pipe.
