It's like a revisioning of the story of Cassandra. She upset the gods, so she was given a "terrible gift" - she was given the gift of prophecy, but the other part of the gift was that no one would believe her. It ended badly for her.

This is early season 1, where I feel it's still justified. Techincally, Shaun didn't provide other evidence of the sort to justify the test. He does do better at convincing others later on in the show. I just wish there were more downsides of Shaun Murphy's method to justify the doubt.

This is how my uncle passed away. A misdiagnosis. He was diagnosed with Pneumonia but really... It was too late. When my mom got him to the hospital he was already at the process of dying. He was weak and already struggling. He loved biking so when my mom said he has to take tricycles to get to our old house I knew something was wrong. I didn't wanna say anything cause I might get my mom mad. He had a blood problem, his white blood cells attacked his red blood cells. It can't be reversed since he was already loosing too much RBC... I hate that hospital he went to previously. I wanted my mom to press charges on them because they misdiagnosed him but it would have been too much money gone down the drain.

Dr Shaun is an autistic. Most autistics are very uncomfortable with being touched. It's neurological sensitivity. I am an autistic, and I understand the sensitivity. It's very difficult to live with.
