In this part of the world, *"giving shit"* in this context means slagging him, or giving him a hard time verbally. Slagging can be joking or daring someone to do something or just being mean. Anybody not from England would need subtitles for the dialogue and the context for the terms used. But the jist of this series is that Sean Bean kicks ass and survives if it's a local series (as opposed to the longevity of his characters in the movies)

Appears to suffer from image enlargement. I don't know what prompts this, but it ruins the composition of the shots and fuzzies up the image. I generally abandon such features immediately.
