I urge you to look for a copy of "My Kingdom For a Horse", a great little one-hour film he did in the 90's. In it, he plays a painfully shy guy who teaches school, lives with his mum, and takes part in historical re-enactments on the weekends. He does a marvelous job, diametrically opposed to pretty everything anyone ever thinks of when they hear his name. :)

i've always felt that Sean Bean still considers himself a British TV actor. Even though he's done big movies over the years, he's never like, left to permanently live the celebrity life in Los Angeles like many British actors do. He;s still very normal and down to earth.

Sean Bean is a true legend. So down to earth after having played larger than life characters all his life. Stephen really needs to let his guests speak rather than interrupting them all the time. I guess he is always on the edge and nervous that his audience will not find the interview interesting. He needs to trust his audience a little more.

He's on another level. All the Hobbit's come off as drama students and then Sean is owning every scene he is in. He was also what drew my attention to GOT. He was the star that got me into the show from episode one and I've been hooked ever since.

• The man that never dies but always gets killed • Sean Beans acting in LOTR was well beyond all the others in their fellowship, that at times, the acting almost appeared comical. His delivery of: “I care, not”! Or “They have a Cave Troll”... ...Are delivered so greatly, that it seems nature bends itself to be aligned with his personality and character. He rocks!

sean bean is a legend. he definitely dont realize how much fans and people alike loves his characters. often when a meaningful character dies it is the most impactful moment in the movie/series. and sean bean has always been good for dying because you already like him and feel for him even if he didn't get a lot of time for that

Sandra Nelson sharpe is a household word in the UK. Sean has graced our TV since the early 90s with this series. I introduced some american colleagues to the series on video tape during the bosnian war and they were hooked...in fact I never got my tapes back lol. He is in a new Brit show called the frankenstien chronicles and his character is not unlike sharpe, well recommended.

A year ago I didn’t understand Sean Bean’s Yorkshire accent and then for past year I’m head over heels with Take That and they speak in similar accents (from Manchester, Chesire, and Stoke) and now I understand clearly what he’s saying. This is amazing and intriguing actually.

@@edwardmp87 While promotion of the show was the main reason for the interview it did seem like Colbert and Bean didn't mesh well. In one of the other comments some compared Colbert ' s energy as the personification of Red Bull vs Bean's as Red wine.
