SEAN You have to be better ..The roster construction has been really bad these last two years Please adresss the Wing postion ..we need gritty players/Multiple 3+D Wings.....Also we need Coaches that will hold everybody accountable an establish a offensive system that doesnt rely on KD Kyrie being in the lineup. (Iso Ball) every play. As for Nash in my opinion he should be fired but If its your choice to keep him.. is what it is...we will support him but please put a Staff around him that can coach for him because whatever he is doing is not working. ime udoka his own assistant last year made him look like a fool Coaching wise in that celtics series it was embarassing . @@tyvion3240 Nash got nothing to do with it. Durant simply choked and got locked like a high schooler. He made 6 losses in 1 qrtr and 0 pts. The guy couldn't do anything, neither dribble to basket or even create tiniest separation to shoot. So all team as a result struggled. Whereas when you take Giannis or Tatum or Jaylen Brown, they easily could cross their defenders 1v1 without pick n rolls and score free baskets and drag defense attention to them, thus making other players free for shots. Simple as that. Teams who are in next round got players who balled out like Morant or Curry or Giannis. Durant got locked down and thus they lost, simple.

I love how Sean Marks theme is rejuvenating Brooklyn "culture" that made them one of the biggest grittiest underdog teams in history. Brooklyn should definitely go after a veteran like PJ Tucker who is a great leader, a three point shooter, a creative two point scorer, a rebounder, and one of the best elite defenders in the league. PJ Tucker does the gritty dirty work and puts his teammates in great positions to score big . Gary Peyton II is another underdog who brings a pitbull mindset on the court and finds many ways to score and has no problem defending the best opposing scorer. Thaddeus young Carmelo Anthony Goran Dragic Chris Boucher, Serge ibaka and otto porter Jr could all make a serious impact on Brooklyn and revitalize Brooklyn and achieve the ultimate goal

Bruh this group of reporters are trash. All I hear is KD/Kyrie/Ben questions. We heard those for 6 months straight. Ask: - Will it be a shake up in the assistant coaching to bring diversity to the offense & Defense. - How do you feel about Bruce Brown coming back. - What was the issue with avoiding the pick & pop with LA - Are you guys looking in to Big Men this off season. - Ask Steve Nash about improving his trust in the others on the team outside KD/Kyrie/& Ben. It seemed he didn’t know how to use the talents of good role players bc you wanted more star talent.

Nets lack assets, but with more fire and more size, I like them to be at least in round 2 next year. I still love Marks. Think he just put faith in the wrong veterans last summer. This year he’ll have a better idea who will fit this team’s play style with Ben on the floor. Nash has a lot of work to do, but I do admire he wants to be back and grind away still. Maybe he is the next Jason Kidd and wants a long career as a head coach. One of the pillars of a great organization is continuity and growth. Giving Nash another shot to unlock this team and players coming in hungry and seeking to be better will instantly get the Nets above the 50 win mark this year. Crazy to think amid all of last years shit, they got to 44.

So, I agree with most of the things you said. Now, Like you! I like Sean Marks. Where we may slightly disagree. I think it's easy to look back over the season and pick apart what went wrong. Because that's what true "Fanatics" do when we lose...Lol! Now, I don't think Sean picked the wrong Veterans. Sean pick his rosters based on 3 superstars being available, which we know! what happened with that. Yes, he is the "Boss", so he has to take the hit for the failures. I really don't think the Nets are that far away. A role player or two, and Steve stops coaching like he's playing. Instead, coach like every game is a must-win. That's the fire you are looking for!

Alot of people are underestimating Ben Simmons impact on this team. He literally doesn't need to be a scorer. All of the Nets problems in play last season are solved if Ben Simmons is on the court. Lack of size, perimeter defender, transition offense opportunities, Big rebounder, playmaker, and Wing Support for KD is addressed if Simmons is out there. Still should get Wing Backup for KD preferably a Veteran but it can be solved if you stagger Ben's minutes with Kyrie as they lead the bench as KD gets rest. Also Joe Harris can add size and shooting to support that lineup. Only guys I see not coming back due to money is Drummond and Bruce Brown. If Bruce can get a team friendly deal then resign.him for perimeter defender depth. Need Kyrie back to be scoring/playmaking support next to KD and Simmons.
@almac9203

I don't like the excuses for Simmons. Every coach says he doesn't need to score. It is total BS. The coach needs to stop making excuses for him. He needs to learn to shoot. If Embiid a 7 foot 2 center can develop a 37 percent 3 point shot then Simmons can develop a mid range jumper. The organization needs to give him some tough love and assist him to reach his potential. Simmons could be an MVP level player but he won't get close if everyone just coodles him. He needs to hear the truth!

Claxtons free throws was very crucial during the playoffs and he was probably 1/10 from the free throw line at every game & Drummond did good but he was MIA the last 2 playoff games where we got eliminated at home. We also need some bigger dudes in the lineup .. Kyrie, Brown, Seth , mills and dragic was too small to attack the paint so all they did was throw up shots. They was getting bodied by the Celtics. Steve Nash will make a promising coach in the future but he has no prior coaching experience to carry a team through the playoffs. I did like this press conference a lot. There was most definitely transparency which has been somewhat lacking over the last few years. Since signing KD and Kyrie although the team got better it seems like the Nets lost the culture they were building and took some steps backwards. This press conference was a step forward though going back to the roots of what they were building. I don’t want to look back at some things that still are puzzling like how Ben even passed the physical to begin which to me is beyond absurd along with some other things. Can’t change what happened though just look forward, and some big things said in this press conference that were clear and transparent are most definitely a step in the right direction.

Ben Simmons can play make and get KD and Kyrie any shots they want. He can also find PJ Tucker in the corner for a three and do some great pick and rolls with Myles Turner. Seth curry and patty Mills can platoon with PJ Tucker while Gary Peyton II can handle defensive assignments when Ben Simmons needs a breather. Goran Dragic can see minutes at point when Kyrie needs a break and Serge ibaka can provide some good backup minutes at center for Turner. And Otto could play some minutes when KD needs a breather. Mainly the responsibilities would be very evenly spread out.

We need to just be healthy, bring back Dragic, brown, clax and have no distractions that’s the primary problem…also let’s not forget Nash… Ben Simmons and Joe Harris are bigger than most people are making them out to be and not having them play was a huge handicap for us. The only thing we need player wise is a wing and a stretch big maybe another primary ball handler if we don’t have Dragic but that’s all. I don’t wanna bring all these new players in (if we could) and have this problem with continuity yet again. We do definitely need a change in the coaching department I guess other than Nash even though imho I’d take Nash TF off this team and get a whole new coaching staff. To the people who know what's going on let's talk about today's press conference. If anyone thinks Sean Marks is a GM puppet or a pushover, look at his resume in Brooklyn and look at how much he's done to try to put Brooklyn in the best position possible to win. The big problem is Brooklyn culture hasn't been the same since the James Harden trade. Kyrie Irving though played a large role in James Harden eventual departure given his unvaccinated situation and that he hasn't PUT THE TEAM FIRST! Boston beat Brooklyn because they were on the floor for long stretches whereas Brooklyn in back to back seasons tried to put everything together last minute and it wasted another open window season. The truth is this is a huge off-season for Brooklyn to decide where they stand with Kyrie Irving and his future, to see what version of Ben Simmons will come to form, to see what veteran free agents can bring a defensive grit and offensive jolt to Brooklyn and to see if Kevin Durant will have a full team around him come next spring. Alot to be answered.

The only problem is the coach. Mark Jackson has these guys still playing. Sean can’t make Steve Nash play the rookies so they are ready by the post season. They have size akill and athleticism but never got developed and weren’t ready because of a coach with zero foresight

Well said, If they think it's just KD and Kyrie fault they crazy. Not one time did I see Steve Nash adept to anything. He is not a coach and they going Into next season with the same bad coach.

Udoka was given a freebie by playing a team with a lack of wings while the Celtics having nothing but wings. Nets literally had 6'2 and 6'4 guards playing small and power forward because of injuries. Steal almost won 3 games despite the handicap.

FROM SPAIN: with my crappyenglish of course, i always have supported loser teams because they were the teams that made me vivrate, kind of athletic de bilbao for instance , only a couple seasons i rootted for real madrid, but that was because i knew my son would support the team his dad did, and i didnt want him to be bullied every single day at school, so as soon as he told me that he preferred basket over soccer i felt free again and i started to root for something that made me happy, kirie irving, but to be honest, i like brooklyn , for may be the very firt time in my life i feel this is my team, so KD , if you are no driving the bus , pleasy gently give the keys to kirie and let us know who really is on the bus , if we can drive you somewhere let us know . KD i feel entitled to tell you that because i pay the leage pass, but only i will pay if i want (and kirie plays), if i dont want ill watch all the season on the pirate chanel, but still would be entlited to let you know whaterver comes out of my bollocks . sinecerously yours

Nash repeated keeps going back to the whole "toe on the line" and being an NBA "champion" if it wasn't for that.. DUDE! That was the second round, - NOT EVEN THE CONFERENCE FINALS much less the finals. Like why did he keep bringing that up like that was Game 7 of the Finals. SMH

You think the Hawks or the Suns would've stopped KD / Kyrie and Harden last year? I think Kyrie plays in the finals last year if we made it.
@valentinedpg
@valentinedpg 2 жыл бұрын
@@thecmancan absolutely not the point.. as a coach in this kinda situation, you would think he would be more expressive due to that fact that they just got swept. Him hanging on to last year's hope is still very very unimaginable. No one would know what would have happened. KD might have gotten injured, harden might get the ham again.. we don't know. But you don't go on to say something like that when it happened during the second round. Like c'mon!

@andremorris4305 2 жыл бұрын
BS,y'all just wanna blame it on Kyrie, when really and truly as much as I like Steve Nash, a better Coach is needed and real reason the Nets got sweep is Coaching. He didn't make adjustments after game 2,they were just trying to ride KD like last year and hoping he would have done it like the season before smh. Well Kai you did say after Gm 3 ,put all the blame on you and their are basically doing it. I don't know what happened after Gm 1 but the Nets didn't look the same and the reason why they lost game 1 is because they taught they had the game and made careless mistakes in the last minute facts 💯

If we decide to trade Kyrie, I think focusing on a return based around Brogdon and Turner would be a massive boost to the team. It also gives us a 3 point shooting rim protector to put next to Ben at centre. Brogdon, Curry, KD, Simmons, Turner. Kyrie Irving and 2 firsts and maybe a second/Edwards should get that done - benefits Pacers with picks (potentially valuable 2027 Sixers first) and also an expiring max contract if they decide not to extend Kyrie, creating cap to pair young studs with Haliburton.
