I think if Yan wasn't shook about losing the title he would have definitely beat Aljo in their 2nd fight, since he dominated the entire first fight. Surprised Cejudo lost but he hadn't fought in like 3 or 4 years usually fighters lose when they come back after being out that long, he'd probably beat Aljo their 2nd.

@@diedfrombored5295so not giving aljo ANY credit...none?...he defended multiple times but there's an excuse for each win? I mean ,he's not the best ufc champ in history but he is champ. And I like O'Malley. Crisp, precise, great footwork. Instead of hating, I'd rather look at a fighter's pros than cons cause it's about what each brings to a fight. This will be a good one at least , we can all agree on that

@@rainman42 Yan and Suga are the only fighters I like in the division so obviously I don't care about Aljo or Dillashaw or any others. As far as credit, again I don't believe Aljo would even be champ period if it weren't for that initial title loss by Yan for the DQ.

The first time Aljo wasn’t 100 percent. He wasn’t on point and he came out too hot. The 2nd time was the real Aljo. The one we saw before and after that first Yan fight.

Suga's career is like the exact opposite version of Dagestanis' careers. For Russians everyone avoids them and sometimes get to title contender/ title fight without facing anybody in top 15 bc nobody takes the fight. For Suga, everyone wants to fight him yet he avoids everyone and makes it to the title fight with just ONE semi-decent split decision win 😅 isn't he fucking awesome

Aljo is such a boring but beastly fighter, it'd be interesting to see the belt changeup. If Sean hasn't been doing serious serious work on his takedown defense, he's in trouble. I wouldn't be shocked at all if he'd been training a snipe shot to hit Aljo's chin on the way in but you know Aljo's camp has been preparing for a striker.
