Sean Paul stopped by The Breakfast Club to talk about his new music, as well as being from Jamaica. Charlamagne thought he might be from the Bronx, but Sean Paul put him in his place. The "Temperature" sing also talked about his dream to make a movie about Jamaican icon Marcus Garvey, eating pum pum, and having a small cameo in Nick Cannon's new movie.

How does them being mixed not make them one people? If your born and bred in Jamaican does that make you Spanish (or whatever your mix is) or Jamaican? You are one with the people if that is your origin that is what the statement is saying..

Fabulous Divo dude tryna sell a Sandals Jamaica experience on youtube. My Jamaican cousins are always crying about how much they cant wait to come and live in England. They call themselves Johnny English, Sasha British and Laura London & shit. Jamaican curriculum is based off of Britain and 65 years after independence they're *still* obsessed with The Queen.

Sean Paul was PRIMARY in the dominance dancehall has in the early 2000s. Obviously the era before him, Super Cat, Chaka Demus, Buju etc. laid the foundations, he took it to another level and should be credited for its global acceptance.

Jacob Cham What do you get? You're acting like the songs you mentioned were big hits. They're nothing compared to the likes of Gimme the light, Get Busy, Like Glue, Give It Up To Me, Temperature, Gotta Love Ya, She Doesn't Mind etc. That's when he came into his own, Stage One was minor compared to Dutty Rock and the albums that followed. Just cos you rate them, doesn't mean they were big hits. It's cool though, live in your bubble son.
@JAKEINHERE
@JAKEINHERE 7 жыл бұрын
No just because you didn't rate them doesn't mean they weren't big hits go live like a Caribbean and don't wait for the billboard to tell you who's hot and what song is poppin. Alkaline tones of hits there you go I just saved your life trying tell a Caribbean about Sean Paul yo son go find you a dancehall spot and live.

I understand Charlamagne being a little ignorant about West Indians in music because he's from the south, but Envy & Yee both are from new york one of the most west indian populated places. Anyways as a Caribbean American I love all the dancehall, soca, and reggaeton inspired music lately bringing me back to my childhood
