Payton doesn’t need to talk to Pete, an inferior coach, for insight. He has plenty of film, and he’s not trying to recreate anything Pete has done. One reason Payton has always wanted to coach Russ is that he felt Pete wasn’t getting the most out of Russ, and le Ty of other coaches share that sentiment. Pete is not an offensive guy. He didn’t know what to do with a QB of Russ’s caliber. Pete was and is an overrated idiot. His career NFL coaching record is 55-57. He never accomplished anything without Russ as his QB. Furthermore, Russ doesn’t need to be fixed. I think he will win Comeback Player of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, and MVP in 2023.

The plan should be to get him an O-Line and a reliable RB who doesn’t fumble. Then teach the receivers to extend their routes like Baldwin, Lockett, Tate, S. Rice, and Kearse. Lastly, manage play-calling and the clock better than Hackett did. That’s all Russ needs.

You waaaayyy off! We opened up the passing game for Russ before a trade was made! He had several seasons of that! Look at his numbers. That will show you what I’m saying! What need to be fixed can’t. He has a hard time seeing across the middle and he always wants the “big” play! Denver will be looking for another QB real soon

Russell relies on a run game and play action. There saved you time. He isn’t Peyton Manning, even if that is what he aspires to be. He needs to be coached by someone who can talk straight to him.

You have to be an exceptional coach to understand Russ’s game and optimize it. Pete didn’t understand Russ’s game. He only knew how to exploit parts of it within his preferred system. People think Sean Payton is going to use Russ the same way Pete did, but that’s not going to be the case. He’s going to look really hard at 2020 and 2021, and that’s were most of those “greatest hits” will come from: Brian Schottenheimer (first 8 games of 2020) and Shane Waldron (first few games of 2021). You’ll see stuff from Darrell Bevell too…the more creative second-half play-calling. Russ would have thrown for 6,000 yards and 55 TDs in 2021 if he hadn’t gotten hurt.

The media absolutely will. He's likeable and a sb sinning qb, and most were shocked at the bad season. They'd likely give him his due and be able to point at the obvious which is that they were all poorly coached this past year. Will the fans, ir better yet the haters, apologize tho, that's the question.

Sean Peyton is overrated. Highest paid coach in NFL and only one SB from Brees and other great coaches. We bring up Russ salary but Sean should have stepped up...the 70 point blowout loss was all on Peyton. No fixing Russ. Russ single-handedly led Seahawks to two Superbowls and if he had a better team he would have gotten more.

Justin Herbert underperformed this year AGAIN. Stop trying to sell him as the next big thing!!! Him and Josh Allen are so overrated. They put up meaningless stats. They don’t win games that really matter!!
