As a young kid, I fell in love with The U. Sean Taylor was one of the biggest reasons why. I have never seen a guy play the game the way he did. Watching that number 26 jersey fly around was a pleasure. It made me sad to see him go to Washington as I am a diehard Giants fan, but I still rooted for him. I remember waking up and hearing what had happened on Sportscenter 5 years ago today and still cannot believe it. He would have been a sure fire hall of famer one day. RIP.

Sometimes I think God blesses an athlete with SO much natural given ability, as if to say YOUR talent will make other athletes in your SAME sport look average! And THAT is what God blessed Sean Taylor with! He had so much ability that he made GOOD football players look extremely average in HIS presence! Dude was just special man!

I was glad to see this highlight video posted when Taylor was still with us but now that he has gone home, it makes me even happier. Arguably the greatest P4P, most well rounded Safeties of all time. Some are tacklers, some are ball hawks, some are fast int. returners, some have a feel for the reads, Sean Taylor had it all & then some! I think he would have went on to be first ballot. Miami 2001-2002 was cranking em' out!

Agreed. But most guys would just see a WR wrapped up and just run over to make sure he goes down..Sean Taylor ran full speed and just launched him-self into Gamble. We could go on and on with examples of how he played the game so grace-fully. But it doesnt change the fact he's gone :( and thats what kills me every minute.

Sean Taylor passed away this passed November due to a gun wound in his upper leg. He was 24. Sean was loved by all of his fans, teammates, friends and family. If Sean were still alive today, he would have been celebrating his 25th birthday. I know we've been in mourning for the past four months, but we should remember how Sean lived. He loved his family as whatever it took to take care of them. As a tribute to the late Sean Taylor, I say to you Sean, Happy Birthday.
