In this exciting episode, I build the receptacle for my rod in the rear end of the exhaust and then I get to painting.
here's a link to a website I often use to find mixes for Tamiya paints:

I’m gonna give that sip a 9/10 on the sip - o - meter, that was pretty epic. I come for the intro, I stay for the modeling.

Very interesting. Thank you. You make it look so easy. No trepidation as I would think, “Am I about to ruin all my other painting work?”

I always like the salt technique - works great on gray stuff. One of these days I'll build up the courage to stick acrylic rod in one of my planes...

Muy buena técnica!!! Consulta está técnica no se debería de aplicarla después de las calcas para que tengan el mismo efecto, creo yo que las calcas quedarían muy nuevas no integradas al modeló, es solo una sugerencia! Saludos desde Guatemala

Great to see you well on the way to creating another fantastic build . I have done the salt technique a few times and I always seem to get better results with sea salt instead of table salt but i dont have your skill set ..

What’s a good temperature for a heat gun to bend those rods? Or maybe which gun are you using?
@seanerk5kt9
@seanerk5kt9 2 жыл бұрын
Ive just got a cheap one from Walmart that doesn’t have a temp gauge…just a low and high setting. I just slowly heat it up until it starts to bend from its own weight then I start to bend it to shape. I demonstrate it in my video on how to make a display base.

The seam lines in the canopy, the over complicated intakes and although the fit is pretty good, it’s not nearly as good as Tamiyas f-14 and f-4

i get it. ive been using your mag ordnance tehniques . i added to doing 72 scale with magnetic stands. i use a 3/4 dia x 1/4 mag. really strong. just epoxy or ive used 3m vhb dub tape recently inside the fuse. it works good on the tomcats. glue a mag in the for and aft of the center missel groove. use some 1/8 or 3/16 steel rod for the stand . i have 2 1/32 revell cats that way you'll need to do some welding or bending. It also allows for some possability of banking . i could make them

Did you use Mix 1 for the 36270? It seems MSG might be a bit warm for it straight
@seanerk5kt9
@seanerk5kt9 2 жыл бұрын
I don’t remember as I mixed it a while ago. I use the mix recipes to get me in the ballpark and adjust based on what I think looks good. In order to get an exact match to an FS color, you would need a physical sample of it to match your mix up with (im guessing that there were probably also slight variations in color between FS paint batches. I also keep in mind that the paint color of a real plane is going to change over time based on exposure to sun, dirt, weather conditions etc and therefore I take that into consideration as well. The bottom line is do what you think looks right to you;)
