Today, we decided to break a case of the brand-new 2022 Panini Optic Football. Overall, not a bad case with some of the rookies and parallels we pulled. I had similar luck: no Downtown, no auto or points, but I hit three Purple Shock Purdy's, plus a Gridiron Kings & base Purdy, 2 Rockets case hits like your Corey Davis (Chris Jones & Darnell Mooney), and I somehow got a hobby exclusive Rookie Kings case hit of Sauce Gardner 😁

Would LOVE to see you rip a case of "Mosaic" as well! This product I didn't get the chance to rip for 2022 seeing as I started at the very end of 2021 and have saved 2- 2021 "select blaster boxes" what do you thibk is a better idea?...save the 2-2021 select blasters for few years and see what they worth then? Or rip them both open? Or open 1 and save 1? Please anyone leave your opinion in my comments, again, thanks Ryan! Great content! As always you delivered! 🎉

If you're going to do retail, select in my opinion, is the best out there. At least you can hit an auto or 1/1

Retail has been rough. I haven't ripped much retail especially when it's been overprinted since about 2019/2020.

I don’t know why it seems this way, but retail always seems to run like this. Even Topps stuff. If I pull the top guy from a blaster, I always go back and get more. Generally pulling more of the same guy.

I don’t know that this was a legit sealed case. No auto, no rookie kings, no blazer, no mythical, no downtown. I’ve pulled 4 autos out of retail, 2 blazers, and a mythical.

Wow I was complaining about buying 5 blasters at target for 35$ and pulling bunch of kenny pickett rated rookie pink , silver, white hot rookies. And sauce rated rookies silver variation. 😂 this was very rough😮

DT’s are 1 per Hobby case…you can do that math. They are like 1 per 10 retail cases

I would like to see a case of the "2022 Select Wal-mart Version" and see if you can hit "Zebra", "1 of 1", "Snakeskin", "Auto's", or a Low number card out of retail. I hit a "Kenny Pickett" Rookie Card Premier Broze out of 99 on a retail Blaster! Best "retail hit" I have gotten so far being only barely 2 years into this hobby! Again, LOVE your stuff as always Ryan! You were/are the top 2 people I "Follow" daily! So thank you, you have taught me a lot just by listening to your videos and learning what you had to learn in your Beggining, just super cool and would LOVE to see you open a retail case of "Select 2022"! As I can't afford it nor can I find it anymore in stores! Thanks again Ryan and look forward to you "Hopefully" doing a case of selcet!

This is why I don't buy blasters of any kind anymore. The upside just isn't there. Once in a blue moon if you're at a store and you see one its like buying a scratch off ticket but I would never buy a case of them. I would rather buy a few hobbies.

I don’t get why you don’t want Willis. Everyone and their mom knew he wasn’t going to be ready, and he will probably win QB2 vs Levis, and has a chance to start after learning the game a bit more.

@@claytondiersen2224 read reports. Coming out of Liberty he was a SUPER raw prospect, with high upside, but would take time. And all off-season we have heard that he has been outplaying Levis for the QB2 spot. I’m still taking the QB over the WR value wise, because he still has potential. He just has maybe the worst possible coaching staff for developing him

I think you should do a case of Rookies & Stars blasters. If I had to rank retail this year as far as most hits/best value/etc... It would go: #1- Rookies & Stars #2- Optic #3- Mosaic The rest you can pretty much toss a coin up.😅 Thanks for sharing! 🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈 Take Care/Stay Safe ✌

Too bad you are opening target blasters. Target was hard to hit in. Walmart had a better chance of hitting DTs. Fantastic was like Target, but better inserts. In the early runs of optic, you had way better odds. First Target run, I got Aaron Rodgers DT out of 2 boxes. Out of 5 boxes from Walmart, I got a Gerett Wilsson DT, blue sparkle, and an auto. And last, from Fantastic 3 boxes, got an auto and blue sparkle. Just got to buy early in the release.

I think mosaic looks the best but holds the least value esp for lesser cards which is a shame If I had a choice I’d take optic blaster case due to shear volume and added chances to pull something Ps I’d love to see a mosaic case opened, those cards are absolutely beautiful and I will be sad to see them go since the nfl license and panini are breaking up

Not all retail is bad, and downtowns aren’t numbered, just wasn’t meant to be on this one. But no arguing there’s plenty more retail than before which means hits are likely harder to find
